| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 5, 2003 Medium orange gold color. Frelling Enormous head. Took 5 minutes to dissipate enough to drink. (loses 2 Appearance points for that). The aroma, or at least what gets past the head, is slightly citric. Kind of weak for an IPA. There is some hoppyness, but mostly maltyness. Some grapefruit and grassiness from what hops are there, some alcohol flavors as well. Drinkable, but I would never have guessed that this is an IPA. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is bitter with some alcohol bite. jerc (3966), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 6, 2009 2009-12-04. Crisp golden amber with a nice off white head and lace. 3+ Nice hoppy aroma, pleasantly leafy, modest resin. 7+ Flavour is similar, more resin than leafy hops here, good amount of bitterness throughout threatens astringency but stays enjoyable. 7+ Smooth average plus palate. Rather good. Bottle at Volo, Toronto Rciesla (3915), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Pine, caramel malt, some light grapefruit bitterness and a hint of citrus. Not as good as the d-IPA. Grovlam (3881), Copenhagen, Denmark
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 4, 2007 #8 [Blind tasting session @ Papsoe 30-11-2007] Huge thick off-white head that mostly lasted. Excellent lacework. Muddy golden color. Pine, grapefruit, citrus, elderflower. Fruit, caramel and light grain like notes over the palate with heavy floral bitterness. Full bodied with a dry texture and an average carbonation. Moderated bitter flavor with light sweetness. Dry bitter floral finish. My guess is an IPA. thedm (3837), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 5, 2009 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of medium sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a hazy with with yeast swirls typically carbonated dark orange colored body. The aroma was hoppy. The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the heated finish with strong biting hoppy aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of hops and mild spice. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. Lots of hops in this one! Theis (3803), Denmark
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 31, 2009 Bottle at home - shared with Mette & Morten. Clear amber - offwhite head. Medium hoppy, grass, spicy, peppery, bitterness, light cheese, knækbrød (swedish flatbread), sweetness, light carboard, light oxidation. Ok. sayravai (3790), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 18, 2009 (Bottled) Hazy amber-golden with a small, partly lasting head. Quite original, exotic-fruity aroma with citrus and a hint of cat pee. Flavor is dryish and bitter with less fruitiness than the aroma suggests, and with a similar cat-pee found in Severin. Medium body, soft carbonation, but harsh bitterness. Promising aroma, but the flavor was not for me. Braudog (3789), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 6, 2008 22 oz bottle. Bright orange with a gluey and big head. The aroma is nice -- fruity and piney. The flavor is heavily leaning toward the hops as you’d expect ... quite sharp and metallic, even stinging. The body is a bit thinner than I’d have guess. The overarching impression here is in the biting hop bitterness. It defines this beer. (#3275, 1/6/2008)
