I really enjoyed this one.....it starts with a fantastic hop aroma to start very floral slight grapefruit, and tart tropical fruit with a nice carmel scents from the mal as well.....it had a nice golden amber color a good thick off-white colored head. The taste was phenominal....One of the best California IPA’s I have had recently.Loved this one. It had a nice hoppy bang to starp, grapefruit, pine, slightly floral, a nice maltyness to it as well I thought that it was a Hop forward IPA but nicely balanced and had a nice finish, nothing that lingered around for too long but it finished strong.
A definate do again beer for me

Bomber poured into a pint glass. Clear golden orange with a cascading fluffy light beige head. Great retention and lots of lacing. Aromas of grapefruit, caraway, and bread dough. harp resinous hop flavor with sourdoughy malt as a basis. Very herbal and spicy rather than the typical citrusy flavor of a west coast IPA. Very solid bitterness with a touch of hop astringency. Medium bodied with perfect carbonation. A very good IPA, for hopheads only.

Pours dark honey with 2 finger head, that fades slowly to 1 finger and leaves alot of lacing. Aroma is floral and citrus hops, cranberries, and toffee like sweetness. Flavor starts off flowery, with a sweetness, like dark chocolate covered caramel. Followed by grapefruit and a nice crisp resiny finish. Mouthfeel’s a little on the thin side for an IPA but the dry finish carries it well. It all pulls together to be equally good as a sipper or a slurper.

Tap at browerij lane. Pours a golden amber. Very hoppy nose for a single ipa. Well balanced with big hop notes and a nice bitter finish. Very good.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2009 From a 22 oz bottle, the pour looks like honey with a white lacing on top, which lasted until the brew was gone. The flavor is intense citrus hops, but with detectable maltiness. It’s a good balance. Aroma is a nice piney citrus. This is a very good beer.

From Firefly. $7 was a bit much for this one, but whatever, I needed a new IPA. Poured the mandatory cloudy copper body underneath a smallish ivory head. Aroma was mostly hops, along with some pleasing grassy notes. Flavour was pure hop, along with a good bite to the mouth. The finish suggested at more malt sweetness than I’d expected.
