joeyplush (78), Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 22, 2008 Had just tried another strong IPA before this one (nogne o) so I may need to give this one another go at some point. The flavor on this one is good, nice hoppiness, but balanced with a light, caramel malty finish.
Beardface (259), Eugene, Oregon, USA Nov 27, 2008 Moderately hoppy IPA that is pretty much typical in every way of the style. Pleasant and unobtrusive flavors of grapefruit and pine and a pleasant nose. More of an east coast style IPA than your typical Western Hop Bomb. uhclem (145), Loveland, Colorado, USA Nov 21, 2008 Lovely, lovely bitterness. Hazy orange pour with a small, evanescent head. Moderate lacing. Great grapefruit and pine nose. Taste comes on with an eye-opening punch of bitter flavor, followed by a caressing mouthfeel. Finish is bright and brassy. taffurs888 (110), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 1, 2008 Grapefruit citrusy aroma, along with the pour. A light lemon grapefruit color. Almost clear. Hits of pine malt with a kick of citrus hops at the end. stefanje (609), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA Oct 26, 2008 650 ml bottle from Bev4less. Pours a slightly cloudy copper color with a big off-white head that has good retention and plenty of lacing. The aroma is citrus and pine with a bit of vanilla. The flavor is biter hops forward with malty dough and apricots. The mouthfeel is full and smooth with a good malt backbone. The finish is medium in duration, semi-sweet rock candy with lingering biter hops. Overall: A very interesting IPA, much better than the ratings suggest. Recommended try. moelikebeer (154), New Brighton, Minnesota, USA Oct 18, 2008 Bottle. Clear, golden pour with a medium size head. Aroma is a nice balance of sweet malt and grapefruit and piney hops. Plenty of sweet maltiness in the flavor as well a good amount of grapefruit. Has a bitter hop finish. Nice malty mouthfeel.
