Aroma: Nothin to write home about but at least it is fairly distinguishable not of toasted oats an hay. Almost like a far without any of the more er... negative odors. Appearance: a murky burnt orange that reminds me of "The University of Texas" decent off white head Taste: Sharp tinge of hops that quickly fades in to a sweet almost candy like taste Palate: Typical not thin at least, nice. Overall: this is not one to drink ice cold, the longer i let it sit the better it got i noted this and my second which was nearly room temp was far nicer. The colder it is the more sweet is is and at cold temps it can e like a mouth full of sugar

Bomber. Sweet caramel and toffee malt with a hint of smokiness. Pours caramel colored with a thin tan head and very little lacing. Gigantic sweetness from caramel and toffee malt to start. Finishes smooth with a hint of smokiness. Good scotch ale, but a little overwhelming on how sweet the malts are. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear, dark burnt red / amber color, with one finger tan head. Aroma is strong caramel/toffee malt, very light smokiness, vanilla and slight spice. Also faint earthy hops. The taste is big and malty, with a lot of the sweet sugary caramel and toffee candy bar notes as well as some dark fruits. The smokiness is very reserved. The mouth feel is medium with a smooth creamy feel and light to medium carbonation. A decent Scotch ale.

P: Vivacious iced tea appearance with a small dollop of tan micro bubbles. S: Sugar dates soaked in scotch with a spicy base. Toasted toffee, and damp grains. T/M: Herbs, subtle b-vitamins, dry straw, barley, cherry Ricola cough drops, chocolate covered cherries, tea tannins, scotch soaked figs and dates. Sweeter and more herbal than I expected from the nose. The scotch flavor is muted unlike the more boozy nose. The live cultures really create pa different taste than most wee heavies. Body is on the lighter side and actively carbonated. Semis dry finish. O: An interesting take on the style that create a terrific easy drinking beer. Some of the flavors test the taste buds. All in all a successful beer that I would like to drink on St. Patty’s day. Cheers!

Nice amber color, a bit cloudy. Nutty & slightly sweet aroma. Medium mouthfeel and slight creaminess. Taste is overall nutty, medium-low sweetness and a hint of well-done toast. A decent beer, I'm willing to explore more styles from Moylan's. Better alternative: Devil's Canyon Full Boar Scotch Ale.

Pretty darn good scotch ale…. I am biased towards this, my favorite of all styles of beer. Starting to think that, sometimes, this kind of brew really benefits from aging, w/ or without wooden barrels either. I think I detect a bit of vanilla?? Will begin drinking this one on a regular basis I think.

as with most things Moylans, this was a perfectly serviceable beer, though nothing too exciting.

Tastes and smells like it has tea mixed in. Not bad but relatively weak flavor for a Scotch Ale.

Amber coloured and hazy. Has an off-white head, lasting. Acid aroma, berries too. Flavor starts sweet, moderate acid and light bitter finish. Warming alcohol.
