3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 laiti (3925) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 30, 2012
65 cl bottle @ Pikkulintu. Rated on 29.07.2010
Aroma has caramel, hops, exotic fruits, hints of toffee and biscuits. Flavour is rather hoppy with lots of exotic fruits, some caramel malt and toffee. Nice hops, but too sweet for me like American DIPAs usually are.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DeliriumT (327) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - DEC 24, 2012
Pours red amber with little head. Aroma is fresh, grassy, sweet and citrusy. Flavour is slightly harsher than ideal but very refreshing
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 zimbo (328) - SCOTLAND - DEC 5, 2012
Very deep very raw pungent piney bouquet. Appears quite flat in the bottle but it gives an effortless dense rocky head when poured. Deep slightly reddish golden to the eye. Thick on the palate but it is surprisingly balanced despite shed loads of full of deep grapefruit. There is also a rubbery quality but nothing offputting.Chewy in ther mouth the malt is superbly integrated. Top end of DIPA in terms of intensity.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear light amber color with a ridiculously thick head. Nose is a little hoppy, which is nice. Nice bitter taste, which I like. Easy drink.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 jmohno (831) - Iowa, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Burnt orange,light amber/copper.Good froth/lacing carbonation.
Smells nice. Has toasty breadymalt,(buttery)caramel ,hops with fruit notes, kinda spicey also. Some resin/dank.Maybe more hoppy but somewhat a balanced malt/ butterycarmel aroma, works well together
Taste is smooth, slick, malty, hoppy, lots of pine in the finish, same characters as aroma.Strong grassy/piney( maybe rhindy too?) bitter.Malt falls off quikly and the bitter takes over. Great double ipa if you like em a little more bitter than average.Nice malt body very smooth. The finish/bitter maybe a bit overpowering,I think it would taste a little better maybe with less grassy pine bitter but probably sticks to the classic west coast ipa standard . Probably a palate wreaker. I like it. Pretty hell of a beer really. I like it more for what it is than what I like really.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Gramoit (250) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 22, 2012
Pours a small head. Plenty of hops that is standard for a DIPA but with a sticky caramel taste. Pretty good, but not brilliant.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ipamonger (48) - New Brunswick, CANADA - OCT 16, 2012
Pours a light amber with a fine, off-white head that sticks around. Great aroma of pine, grass, citrus hops, honey, malt, fruitcake. Surprisingly creamy, oily mouthfeel. Taste starts with a shortlived sweetness, then you’re hit with a pretty intense bitterness that lingers in the finish. From what I’ve tried so far from this brewer, this one is memorable, and in a good way. Solid.
4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Beerathon (589) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 5, 2012
HUGE hop nose. Wow! Citrus, floral, a bit earthy. It hilights everything I love about an IPA. Sticky mouth feel. Orange in color with lacing. This beer is fantastic.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 callmemickey (1355) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 17, 2012
Pale orange-yellow body, large white head, soapy lacing. Nose is equal parts hops (resin/grapefruit) and malt (caramel). Pleasant, but I found the hops a bit overshadowed. Flavor is similar with a pleasant profile that is more reminiscent of a big, malty IPA rather than a double IPA. Medium bodied, mild carbonation, lingering bitterness in the finish.
3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 BK7 (548) - Turner, Oregon, USA - AUG 23, 2012
Bomber. Solid bitterness throughout with caramel and tropical fruit in the background. Finish is pine and more bitterness. Tasty.
