Our Moylander Double IPA is fat and resiny, with aggressive and excessive hops swinging on an enormous malt backbone like naughty monkeys on a vine. Double malt, double hops - do the math, it's academic.

Pours a beautiful marmalade color. Aromas are tropical fruit and sweet brown sugar. Very smooth and fruity before the hop explosion takes over. This is excellent.

Bottle from Crown Cellar. A great looking IPA, quite orange, with a large white head. The aroma is heavy malt, bread, orange and grapefruit. Taste is super. Nice nice malt, bitter citrus. Amarillo. Slightly woody. Medium mouthfeel with a solid bitterness. Really good DIPA.

650 mL bottle. Hazy orange with little head. The aromas actually fairly balanced. There is a nice shot of caramel in the flavour as well, but it is all about hops. This is a dry IIPA, but there is almost enough malt to make this an ASA. Outstanding.

From a 1 Pt 6 Fl oz bottle on 25/3/2014. Pours a cloudy light golden with a biggish bright white head. Has a delightful hoppy aroma, featuring heaps of stone fruit, resin and pine. Taking a sip is a full on experience, with the hops and bitterness very much in your face. There’s pine, resin, spice and grapefruit in spades, with the bitterness sticking to your mouth stubbornly. There is some sweetness to be found, with some caramel and citrus and stone fruit in the mix. But it’s quickly beaten into submission by the hops. The palate leans towards syrupy and the carbonation is average. If you’re into intense hop experiences, this is a must, but for mine, it lacks a bit of balance. With a touch more sweetness and smoothness, it could have been something special. Very good but not great.
