COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Moylander Double IPA is fat and resiny, with aggressive and excessive hops swinging on an enormous malt backbone like naughty monkeys on a vine. Double malt, double hops - do the math, it's academic.

Im thinking maybe time hasnt done this any favours. The hop bittnerness has got a bit ’dirty’ and bitter without any zing or crispness. The malt side is present but doesnt integrate well. Drinkable but would love it fresh

A bit of a muddle. I usually enjoy the Moylan’s offerings but this is just sort of blah to me. Hoppy yes, Malty, yes. A bit barley wine-ish and just not memorable.

Bottle/22oz - Pours a quite hazy orange-amber in color with a medium white head that hung around to produce a decent amount of lacing on the glass. Aroma is heavy with citrus hops and minor of caramel malts. Flavor is less about the citrus and more about the pine and the malt. Plenty of sweet malt to back up the incredible amount of hops in this beer. Fairly bitter finish. YUM! Love this beer!

On tap at Tapwerks in OKC. Pours clear orangish copper with white head. Aromas of hops, some citrus, and caramel malts. Flavors of sweet caramel malts, citrus, and some bitter hops. Enough bitter hops to keep it honest, but still a heavy dose of sweet malts.

Bomber bottle from Total Wine Tucson AZ! Now that’s a good 2xIPA! Nice deep golden pour with a nice head. First sip was almost magical. Sweet and citrusy, crisp refreshing. Second sip was a mind blower. (think I like 2XIpA?) I wish the pallet would last all day! Go find some!

Amber, good thick head. Aroma of spices, some perhaps of cinnamon. Tons of bitterness and sweetness in the taste. Finish has a very light coffee taste, but it’s the hops that really come through - all the way through.

22 oz. bottle from Grape & Gourmet. Hazy dark orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of tangerines, peach syrup, pineapple, and pine needles. Bitter hop flavor of grapefruit rind and roses with a sweet caramel malt backbone. That being said, this is a hop lovers delight even though there is a heavy malt component. It’s hard to believe Moylan’s makes a hopier beer (Hopsickle). The bitterness on the tongue is lingering. Overall, this is an excellent DIPA.

/11/10/11/10/11

Bottled. Very murky dark orange with a massive, creamy off-white head that is fully lasting. Big cookie malt nose with some resiny pine and mild grapefruit undertones. Highly bitter flavor up front turns moderately sweet. Syrupy sweet finish then backpedals as pine cone and grapefruit rind bitterness creeps in and parks, finally ending dry and mildly alcoholic. Bitterness - sweetness - bitterness rollercoaster of a flavor profile makes each sip seem a little different than the last - with some I got more peach/nectarine sweetness, others with hints of grassy hops and dried straw.
