COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Moylander Double IPA is fat and resiny, with aggressive and excessive hops swinging on an enormous malt backbone like naughty monkeys on a vine. Double malt, double hops - do the math, it's academic.

Very deep very raw pungent piney bouquet. Appears quite flat in the bottle but it gives an effortless dense rocky head when poured. Deep slightly reddish golden to the eye. Thick on the palate but it is surprisingly balanced despite shed loads of full of deep grapefruit. There is also a rubbery quality but nothing offputting.Chewy in ther mouth the malt is superbly integrated. Top end of DIPA in terms of intensity.

On draft at Tap 25. Iím pretty sure Iíve had this beer on several occasions throughout the years, but Iím finally getting a chance to rate it. It pours a rich gold color with a lasting white head. The aroma is sweet peachy, florals, citrus and tropical fruit. Not too potent. The flavor is extremely bitter with pine and sweaty tropical fruit. It has an oily body. Pretty good, if a bit heavy on the bitterness.

24-OCT-2014, bottle @Morten. Huge 9/10, creamy, fluffy, yellow head. Aroma is hops. Perhaps not all that fresh. Pine, fruit, touch of cheese. Taste is so hoppy. Very, very bitter, grape fruit, pine, touch of cardboard. Full body, sweet. Very heavy malty backbone. A rough one. That I like.

"called a double ipa, but drinks like a hoppy barleywine...a little more hop and a little less pine, and youíd think it was a bigfoot. good beer, not best of style, but worth trying. 2010-as the years pass, this one keeps getting passed, but itís still good. too much biscuit malt detracts from it, though."

Pours hazy gold with very large frothy head out of bottle. Pleasant aroma of tropical fruits, citrus, and a mixture of hops. Flavor of citrus, fruit, caramel, and of course hops. Very good beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice hoppy bouquet, citrus, mango, pine, decent caramalt backbone, dry hoppy finish. Solid IIPA, but found the muscat version a tad smoother.

Served on cask at Alís of Hampden into a nonic pint.

A - Pours a clear dark copper color with a thin white head that leaves a very faint lacing down the glass.

S - Strong tropical fruit aroma with hints of mango, lemon, and other citrus fruits. A slightly sweet smell from the malt is a welcome addition to the strong hop presence.

T - Based on the smell I thought this was going to be a hop bomb, that was not the case. The malt, while hiding slightly behind the strong hop presence in the nose, offers tons of sweet malt flavors that overpower the somewhat subdued hop presence. The hops are there, just not as much as you would expect.

M - The body is medium-light with the flavor being a little on the heavy side. Fairly good carbonation that fades over time. The malt flavors linger on the pallet for some time afterwards.

D - The nose was much better than the taste. While I enjoyed the opportunity to try this one I just feel that it could have been better, especially for $7 a glass.

Round orangey citrus aromas, caramel, sweet bread dough. Hazy orange with a lasting white head. Off-dry, initial malt sweetness, mild bitterness, great balance. Medium bodied.

Sweet caramel and light hoppy and malt aroma. amber orange body and light white head. Nice malt and hop balance with a dry hop bitterness. Crisp and bitter on the palate.

Double IPA indeed. Extremely hoppy, but with a very nice taste. Not one you would drink several of, but one is recommended.
