Draught. Orangish pour with thick white head, much lacing. Pleasant aroma that I call soapy, tho’ it is nothing like actual soap, mix of citrus and tree. Full bodied, sprucy and piney with citrus. Hoppy without being overwhelming. Longlasting hop finish

Another one of those "wait, I haven’t rated this?" beers. At any rate, pretty simple and tasty. Lots o pine, caramel, and pine. Plus some pine. Long , sticky finish. Will drink again...

22oz bottle. Clear orange pour. Aromas of pine and resin - quite dank. Lots of spicy hops in the flavor with a good amount of grapefruit and caramel malt.

Pours amber with a large head. Nose shows piney hops, along with peach and floral notes. Underneath is biscuit-like malt and caramel. Very hop-focussed flavours, lots of resinous pine and a massive sharp bitterness. Not much malt. Slightly overcarbed.

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2012 Bottle from Purvis. Great IPA, hoppy, but well malted. Aromas of caramel, grass, and passionfruit. Taste has a sweet start, sour notes, and bitterness taking over for a long finish. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with thick frothy white head.  Aroma of floral hops.  Reminds me of Two Hearted.  Taste a bit disappointing due to probable date of the beer.  Appearance and aroma better than the taste.  Dated beer.  Hops past prime.  Would like to re-rate.

Bottle from BevMo: After seeing this on tap recently and passing it up for something else, I’m glad to have been able to come across a bottle of it. Poured a thick shaving cream foam type of head while the liquid was a golden blonde color. The aroma is heavy with perfumed hops while a buttery scent of grained malts comes through too. The flavor is mild with a taste of bitter hops that rub off some notes of citrus fruit and peel and has a strong resemblance to sweet homemade grapefruit juice. Nothing over the top or special, but a still a standard IPA.

In short: An extremely bitter citrusy, wooden and resinous IPA. Good despite its excessive bitterness.
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed moderately fresh 2 months after receiving it through private importation
The look: Almost clear golden amber body topped by small off-white head
In long: The hoppy nose is mostly citrusy, dank and a bit floral. Taste is a soft chewy bready malt backbone, some caramel, concentrate apricots juice, hops resin, floral notes. The bitterness is surprisingly biting and really sticks to the back of the mouth, so much so that it almost feels like an alcohol bite (but the beer is only 6.5%). Bitterness level is really through the roof and would be more fitting in a 9% Double IPA and seems disproportionate in this beer. After-taste is very much sticky wooden hops resin. This is really not a session IPA, unless you have maso taste-buds. For bitterness lovers only. I enjoyed this beer alone at home because with no distraction, because if there is something I hate in life it is everything that is not beer.

22 oz bottle from Torrance, CA Whole foods. Translucent gold pour. Two finger head recedes to a half inch and last throughout the time it takes to drink the beer. Aroma of lemon, grapefruit, and something sweet which is hard to identify. Taste is of grapefruit, pith, peach, and sweet malts. More of a maltier ipa than a hoppy one. Smooth mouthfeel with a little resin and lower carbonation.
