Bomber. Tasty and lingering hops. Not too bold. Pretty delicious. Tastes like bongwater should taste.

A super solid IPA, CalifornIPA knows how to brew ’em. Hazy dark amber frothing with an ivory hat. Notes of white grapefruit, honey, cereal, some floral business and caramel hints grace the nostrils. Taste-wise I found this to be a but heavy on the bitter citrus side of things and not malty enough. Still super fun, just not head over heels. Very refreshing indeed, the look and chewy feel of this beer are spot on and were it a bit more balanced with malts it could be a contender for my top IPA spot.

Beautiful glowing body and solid head. Rich aroma, carefully balancing amber and sweet malts with modern hops. Intoxicating aroma, very pleasant. String bitterness, juicy, delicious! I drank this (luckily large) bottle in no time. And still wanted more. True American style ipa for all the right reasons. (Bomber from Saveur Bière)

650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Slightly hazy deep golden colour, moderate white head. Typical American IPA aroma of orange marmalade and piney hops. Medium sweet flavour, notes of orange marmalade and malts immediately followed by distinct notes of fruity and resinous American hops. The bitterness seems just right. A well made IPA. Will happily drink again.

"a fairly basic but well made IPA. aromatic and piney, with a hint of citrus and a strong malt foundation...would be a good ipa to introduce someone to the style."

Transfer from BA review on 5-7-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – Pours a lighter amber color with a two finger white head. The head fades moderately quickly leaving some spotty lace on the sides of the glass. Smell- The aroma is heaviest of a grapefruit citrus hop mixed with a little bit of tangerine sweetness. With these citrus aromas so too comes a pine and light earthy hop smell as well as a bit of breadiness. Taste – The taste begins with a decent showing of the grapefruit hop that was detected in the nose. A lighter breadiness and caramel sweetness is present upfront, with these two flavors fading as the taste moves on. While these flavors fade a bit, of a light fruit flavor comes to the tongue more toward the middle. This fruit however is largely overshadowed by the hop, which now becomes a blend of grapefruit and pine. In the end a somewhat drier and moderately hoppy taste is left on the tongue. Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is average in terms of its creaminess with a carbonation level that is average as well. Both rather appropriate for the style as well as for the abv and make for a clean drinking and crisp brew. Overall – It is a very drinkable and middle of the road IPA. Nothing too special, but enjoyable none the less.

On tap at the brewery. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is grassy with candied lemon, flavor is similar. Dry piney finish with only a modest amount of bitterness. Nice lean profile, decent IPA.

Pours a hazy golden orange from the bottle with dissipating white head that leaves good lace. Aroma is resinous, catty, amazing hop notes of citrus, grapefruit, earth, floral, slight mint. Taste is more balanced with a nice malty back end on top of the hops. Nice carbonation, slight bitterness, pretty amazing IPA.

650 mL bottle. Ridiculous foamy head. It looks like shaving cream. My first thought was that the beer was infected. Doesn’t seem to be though. Nice malt backbone to counter the heavy bittering hops. The hop flavour is herbal/medicinal. Not bed.

650 ml bottle from Premier Wine and Spirits. Pours a murky orange color with good-sized, dense white head. Aroma is spicy pine resin, some flowers and underlying caramel malt. Flavour is rather spicy resiny hops with some floral characteristics, a bit of graininess and a subtle sweet caramel. Body on the fuller side. A little drying alcohol in the finish. Nice.

22 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Virginia Beach, VA. Deep orange pour with a frothy white head. Aroma of tangerine, pine, and wet grass. Bitter hop taste of grapefruit rind, pine needles, and lemons with traces of sweet malt. Bitterness lingers on the palate. A very good IPA.
