3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle. Poured a dull light copper color with an off white head and a hint of lace. The initial burst of aroma is a flavorful rose scent quickly followed by a root vegetable hop scent. Flavors of raw vegetable and celery make up much of the hop body. This is a hoppy almost metallic IPA with a bitter ending.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 27.10.14. Muddy and greyish pale yellow. Small, white head. Aroma of citrus zest, citrus marmelade and sucate. More citrus sourness in taste, as well as lemon grass and white grapes. Evident citrus bitterness in aftertaste.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
sample from bottle at 2014 houston big brew fest. Amber with small head. I feel like I’ve had this same IPA 100 times. It’s quite decent, but boring. Medium malt, big citrus hops.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
A super solid IPA, CalifornIPA knows how to brew ’em. Hazy dark amber frothing with an ivory hat. Notes of white grapefruit, honey, cereal, some floral business and caramel hints grace the nostrils. Taste-wise I found this to be a but heavy on the bitter citrus side of things and not malty enough. Still super fun, just not head over heels. Very refreshing indeed, the look and chewy feel of this beer are spot on and were it a bit more balanced with malts it could be a contender for my top IPA spot.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Beautiful glowing body and solid head. Rich aroma, carefully balancing amber and sweet malts with modern hops. Intoxicating aroma, very pleasant. String bitterness, juicy, delicious! I drank this (luckily large) bottle in no time. And still wanted more. True American style ipa for all the right reasons. (Bomber from Saveur Bière)

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Slightly hazy deep golden colour, moderate white head. Typical American IPA aroma of orange marmalade and piney hops. Medium sweet flavour, notes of orange marmalade and malts immediately followed by distinct notes of fruity and resinous American hops. The bitterness seems just right. A well made IPA. Will happily drink again.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
"a fairly basic but well made IPA. aromatic and piney, with a hint of citrus and a strong malt foundation...would be a good ipa to introduce someone to the style."

Transfer from BA review on 5-7-13-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – Pours a lighter amber color with a two finger white head. The head fades moderately quickly leaving some spotty lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma is heaviest of a grapefruit citrus hop mixed with a little bit of tangerine sweetness. With these citrus aromas so too comes a pine and light earthy hop smell as well as a bit of breadiness.
Taste – The taste begins with a decent showing of the grapefruit hop that was detected in the nose. A lighter breadiness and caramel sweetness is present upfront, with these two flavors fading as the taste moves on. While these flavors fade a bit, of a light fruit flavor comes to the tongue more toward the middle. This fruit however is largely overshadowed by the hop, which now becomes a blend of grapefruit and pine. In the end a somewhat drier and moderately hoppy taste is left on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is average in terms of its creaminess with a carbonation level that is average as well. Both rather appropriate for the style as well as for the abv and make for a clean drinking and crisp brew.
Overall – It is a very drinkable and middle of the road IPA. Nothing too special, but enjoyable none the less.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is grassy with candied lemon, flavor is similar. Dry piney finish with only a modest amount of bitterness. Nice lean profile, decent IPA.
