On tap. Dark copper with white head. Clear. Rich malt flavor. Low alcohol note. Some hopiness. A good example.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark amber with a slight white head. Malty, toasty, aroma. Med body. Flavor is simply malt - lightly toasted, mildly sweet. A bit darkish. There’s the barest hint of bitter. Smooth and drinkable.

Draft. Copper beer with a cream colored head. Caramel and earth aroma. Caramel and earthy flavor with light toastiness. Medium bodied. Caramel and earthiness lingers with light toastiness.

Hard to judge prop. After an evening of high hop beers. First one here @ the brewery that puts the malt upfront. Not complaining about my hop intake tonight, but this proves they do good by their malt. Very to style, and very good for style. Great malt.

on tap as ’festbier/okto’ at papago1/11/2010. hazy iced tea tinted caramel colored body with a soft white head. random spots of foam stay behind. buttery nose... not in a bad way... more like uwe’s buttery ’house’ aroma mixed with toffee, grassy hops, earthy spice and a slight tartness. the flavor follows the same line only the light tart note comes on strong as the beer nears room temperature... butter is still present and pronounces itself into the texture in an oily way (especially after the cold can no longer hide it) making it feel thick for the style. on the plus side, the aftertaste is strongly of hoppy goodness and grass... 6/4/5/3/12/3.0

ON tap at brewery. Copper brown with no head. Clear wheat and grain taste with a toffee finish.
