To honor our World Champions at the Cove, we have created a smooth, American black ale brewed with orange zest. A hearty brew for the bleacher bums, gardeners of turf, and patient fans who have endured 54 years of pine-grabbing torture. An adult beverage to salute the bat, the Stick, the rally thong., the crab, the seal, the chickens, the Thrill, the bowties in the office, the golden voices in the booth, and all of the San Francisco legends that helped them get there. We at Moylan’s never stopped believing and we plan to bust this rookie out on opening day for the Ortange and black faithful. WARNING: Do not fear this beer for it will freakishly offer two Cy’s of relief without putting any hair on your face. ARE YOU READY? WELL THEN GRAB A BEER, MEAT!

Draught @ the brewpub as ”Moylans Orange & Black”. Rated on 21.07.2012
Aroma is stale with licorice and some ash. Flavour has ash, some licorice and hints of orange notes that grow towards the end of the glass. Too stale to be enjoyable.

650 ml bottle from Bev4less. Pours a nearly opaque black color with a small beige head that soon recedes to a fine ring. The aroma is medium in strength with musty oranges and roasted barley. The flavor is mild chocolates and oranges with a bit of roasted barley. The palate seemed just a bit gritty to me and the carbonation was soft. Finished short with a bit of a metallic aftertaste. Overall: Meh.

Marin version. Dark brown pour with a white head. Caramel with a little orange fruit and overall maltiness. Taste is similar, like a stout with orange flavors. Good and enjoyable.
