To honor our World Champions at the Cove, we have created a smooth, American black ale brewed with orange zest. A hearty brew for the bleacher bums, gardeners of turf, and patient fans who have endured 54 years of pine-grabbing torture. An adult beverage to salute the bat, the Stick, the rally thong., the crab, the seal, the chickens, the Thrill, the bowties in the office, the golden voices in the booth, and all of the San Francisco legends that helped them get there. We at Moylan’s never stopped believing and we plan to bust this rookie out on opening day for the Ortange and black faithful. WARNING: Do not fear this beer for it will freakishly offer two Cy’s of relief without putting any hair on your face. ARE YOU READY? WELL THEN GRAB A BEER, MEAT!

Looks really nice. And is pretty good. The orange is noticeable, a bit like a chocolate-orange slice. Different.

22oz bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Near black pour, thick tan head. Aromas of ripe orange, dreamsicle, chocolate and roast. Tastes like a creamsicle as well - creamy with tons of orange.

Arizona Strong Beer Festival. It has orange (orange peel specifically). And its black. So the description is accurate. Interesting, but still kinda weak.

Bomber from Woodmans in the Falls. Pours a brownish orange/red with a bit of a foamy off-white head. Very interesting looking. Aroma is a muddled combination of dark fruits and some caramel. Taste is more dark fruits - raisin, plum and something I am not getting (tangerine, but without a citrus component, that is not it) - with some caramel maltiness. Quite sweet and fruity. The finish is not real short, but it is dry. Easy to drink but the aroma/flavor is a bit strange.

On tap. Pours black with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet tropical fruits including lemon and citrus. Flavor of lots of orange and citrusy fruits, just a hint of roasted malt. Sweet but light, so it’s not overpowering. Quite a good beer, yum! 7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)

Pours a dark brown/orange color with a small khaki head. The aroma jumps out as fresh orange zest, tangerines and a touch of toasty malt. The flavor has massive oranges with hints of spicy roasted malt in the finish. Not much penetrates the orange zest though. A bit unbalanced.

Bottle from South Bay Liquor: Created a thick cushion of foam head while the liquid was a dark and opaque shade of brown. In the aroma, my nose picks up on barley and lightly toasted malts while a hint of orange is just enough to start some curiosity as to how it taste. The flavor is tame with a smooth strike between lightly roasted malts and a touch of orange liqueur really make this one of the best fruit beers I have ever tasted—if in fact this can technically be classified as a fruit beer recipe. The aftertaste finishes extremely bland and empty with a taste of bitterness, but I’m still surprised how well the beer was constructed.
