COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To honor our World Champions at the Cove, we have created a smooth, American black ale brewed with orange zest. A hearty brew for the bleacher bums, gardeners of turf, and patient fans who have endured 54 years of pine-grabbing torture. An adult beverage to salute the bat, the Stick, the rally thong., the crab, the seal, the chickens, the Thrill, the bowties in the office, the golden voices in the booth, and all of the San Francisco legends that helped them get there. We at Moylan’s never stopped believing and we plan to bust this rookie out on opening day for the Ortange and black faithful. WARNING: Do not fear this beer for it will freakishly offer two Cy’s of relief without putting any hair on your face. ARE YOU READY? WELL THEN GRAB A BEER, MEAT!

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of maneliquor. Pours a clear orangey brown with a creamy beige head leaving some lacework. Slightly tart orange aroma. Medium body, an initial discreet roast and then the orange zest that could be mistaken for an infection. No real hop character. 160612

Tasting at Papsø’s
Hazy red-brown color. The aroma turns out to be soapy, artificial, feet, almost infected, a bit dusty. Weak body, with some roasted malt and caramel flavor, but also a light sourness that links more to a light infection than to the oranges; low bitterness.
Not very pleasant.

Bottle at Papsø’s - Thanks. Clear brown - white head. Licorice, orange, citric, light acid, roasted malts, rye spicy notes, caramel, not bad - a bit plain and borng.

A: The beer pours almost black in color with a small tan head. S: Starts off with a rather intense roast note. The transition is rather quick to brown sugar, licorice, and molasses. There is a mild coffee note along with earthy hops and some candied citrus. T: Lots of roasted malt flavor, too. There is plenty of burnt sugar, licorice, and molasses. A very intense flavor of candied orange peels which gives a strange sweetness and flavor that I would compare to orange creamsicle. M: Medium bodied with a sort of low carbonation. O: I guess this is supposed to be a black IPA, but it was really anything but.

Bomber from Bottle Barn. Pours very dark brown with a creamy 1 finger tan head. Aroma is orange zest over chocolaty burnt malt. Med body. Flavor is smooth burnt malt, with a hint of chocolate and vanilla, and a whole lot of orange. There are things that work better than orange and stout, but this works pretty dang good. Yeah Moylans. Creativity plus. Finishing like a sweet stout with orange zest.
