To honor our World Champions at the Cove, we have created a smooth, American black ale brewed with orange zest. A hearty brew for the bleacher bums, gardeners of turf, and patient fans who have endured 54 years of pine-grabbing torture. An adult beverage to salute the bat, the Stick, the rally thong., the crab, the seal, the chickens, the Thrill, the bowties in the office, the golden voices in the booth, and all of the San Francisco legends that helped them get there. We at Moylanís never stopped believing and we plan to bust this rookie out on opening day for the Ortange and black faithful. WARNING: Do not fear this beer for it will freakishly offer two Cyís of relief without putting any hair on your face. ARE YOU READY? WELL THEN GRAB A BEER, MEAT!

Bottle from Cullenís Pub. The orange flavor was kind of a mess in this... a lot of rind and acid without a pleasing sweetness. Didnít like this one.

Location: 22 oz bottle from State Line, 12/28/14

Aroma: The nose is orange/citrus, roast, chocolate malts, and a bit of candied sugar
Appearance: It pours a brown color with a red hue, a beige head, and some spotty lacing
Flavor: Tastes less sweet than expected from the nose, pretty clean too, with a fruity sweetness, some light tartness as well, subtle roast/chocolate, mild spice, and a clean, lightly bitter finish
Palate: The body is fairly light, a touch thin even, with a smooth, clean feel, and a short duration
Overall Impression: This is an interesting beer. The orange/citrus sweetness and tartness work nicely with the rest of the fairly subtle flavors that join into the mix in the middle-to-end palate. Thereís a definite dark malt flavor in here, but for some reason it doesnít necessarily seem like the color and the flavor match up. I was surprised how quickly it thinned out. Still, Iím glad I tried it. It is pretty interesting.

Bottle. Go Giants! Game 7 of the 2014 series is tomorrow night. A dark brown color with a foamy light brown head. A noticeable orange aroma and flavor on top of a malty grain base.

Pours from bomber a super dark brownish red, forming a thin head of foam. Aroma of peat and earth, orange rinds, roasted malts and faint vanilla pods. Flavour was of burnt black currents, some chocolatey malt at the core. Perhaps just a little orange rind bitterness, plus dry roast around. Cloves and five spice come in at the end. Eh, decent enough, however I would rather have their Hop Craic instead.

"i donít know if this belongs in the fruit beer catergory, or the american black ale catergory as it is both (calls itself an ABA). the orange zest is not subtle in the aroma, and makes for on odd but intuiging smell when mixed with some porter-like roasted malts and chocolate. pretty low hop presence (or is it just overshadowed?) in both the aroma and flavor. thin-medium bodied. unique and pretty tasty...maybe leaning towards a desert beer."

Appearance was reddish black with diminishing off white creamy 1/2 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are orange marmalade, roasty malts, chocolate and estery yeasts. Taste are like the nose, oranges, toffee, chocolate and soft spicy hops. Palate was soft smooth CO2 with medium body, oily average length balanced finish. A wonderful combination of malts and fruit.
