Thin, watery palate like an organic wheat beat - this beer fails, though its name sounds delicious.

tap at Rattle n hum - nice wheaty, yeasty arouma, with hints of tart fruits. sweet fruity pomegranate, herbal, honey notes, with some spicey cloves, but plenty of sweet, fruity sugars.

Peach/tangerine color. Cloudy with white head. Intense pomegranate/wheat flavor. No to low hops. Refreshing.

Lots of pomegranate juice on the nose - sweet, juicy, fruity. Hard to pick up any base beer notes at all. Pours an actual reddish tone, no head or lace. Looks like juice. Flavor is pretty much all pomegranate juice - was way more assertively juicy than I expected. Light wheat beer in the finish. Interesting.

Hard to call it a hefe, the grain is really muted. The pom is great, fresh and tasty, very sweet. A bit of hefe taste and palate on the aftertaste. Tasty but odd.

Sample at the brewpub on 8/8/10. Clear red pour with a medium off-white head. Wheat malt nose with light crisp hops and some fruit. Tropical fruit flavor with some wheat malt on the back.

Draft at Blind Pig Champaign. I had this at two separate bars on the same day in samples. Medici needed to clean their lines as they have a pedio infection in one of them. Pours a brilliant cranberry juice red with a fizzy head that manages to stick around. Nose is quite fruity and tart. On taste, the fruit comes through, lending a bunch of astringency that somehow works. Quenching, though not much else going on.

Draft at Blind Pig Brewery in Champaign, IL. Pours a reddish amber with a pale pink head that totally dissipates. Aroma of wheat malts and pomegranate. Lighter side of medium bodied with a refreshing texture and soft carbonation. Flavor of pale wheat malts, kool aid powder, and pomegranite with a good amount of residual sweetness. Not much bitterness and perhaps a tad thin. A solid summer fruit beer for hot weather, but nothing complex.

6/17/10. On tap in a pint glass. The pour is creepily red and juicy. The aroma is a bit musty, some rotten fruit, and huge sweet fruitiness. The flavor is big sweet sugar at first followed by an array of fruits, like fruit punch, finidhing finally with a faint reminder that it is in fact beer.

on tap at papago1/2/2010. hazy pink pale pomegranate juice colored amber with a white head. slightly tart aroma... faint pomegranate, dust, a touch of pale grainy sweetness and minerals. the flavor is the same only... kinda shallow and middle of the road. it is light to medium bodied with low carbonation and a watery mouth feel. this would be a lot more refreshing if they turned up the bubbles... 6/3/6/3/13/3.1
