Draft at Blind Pig Champaign. I had this at two separate bars on the same day in samples. Medici needed to clean their lines as they have a pedio infection in one of them. Pours a brilliant cranberry juice red with a fizzy head that manages to stick around. Nose is quite fruity and tart. On taste, the fruit comes through, lending a bunch of astringency that somehow works. Quenching, though not much else going on.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Blind Pig Brewery in Champaign, IL. Pours a reddish amber with a pale pink head that totally dissipates. Aroma of wheat malts and pomegranate. Lighter side of medium bodied with a refreshing texture and soft carbonation. Flavor of pale wheat malts, kool aid powder, and pomegranite with a good amount of residual sweetness. Not much bitterness and perhaps a tad thin. A solid summer fruit beer for hot weather, but nothing complex.

6/17/10. On tap in a pint glass. The pour is creepily red and juicy. The aroma is a bit musty, some rotten fruit, and huge sweet fruitiness. The flavor is big sweet sugar at first followed by an array of fruits, like fruit punch, finidhing finally with a faint reminder that it is in fact beer.

on tap at papago1/2/2010.
hazy pink pale pomegranate juice colored amber with a white head.
slightly tart aroma... faint pomegranate, dust, a touch of pale grainy sweetness and minerals.
the flavor is the same only... kinda shallow and middle of the road.
it is light to medium bodied with low carbonation and a watery mouth feel. this would be a lot more refreshing if they turned up the bubbles... 6/3/6/3/13/3.1

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled at 1702, Tucson December 2009
The beer arrives from the tap with a pink-amber hue, quite hazy and there is a thin white head on top. The aroma smells lightly tart, a bit floral and somewhat like hibiscus, but it isn’t really all that pronounced.
The flavor is tart with a light sweetness and a fruitiness that reminds me of watermelon, berries and of course pomegranate. This is actually quite refreshing and it is definitely dominated by the pomegranate contribution. This is almost note really a beer, though the finish does have a touch of hardy wheat flavors to it. This is definitely an easily quaffed, refreshing, summer time like brew. It is pretty enjoyable for what it is; simplistic, refreshing, fruity and with a tartness that is quite nice.

Tap at Papago. Damn I love that place. Red pour. Sweet cherries, light tart pomegranate juice and some yeasty in the aroma. Flavor is much like a cherry sweet tart with some yeast and light spice. Interesting. But I wont drink it again.

A very ncie fruit ale. I would have though pomegranate would be too delicate to brew with, but it turns out alright. Very light, berry sweetness, crisp and good for the summer.

On tap at Pete’s in Danville. Whoa.. I was a little embarrassed to receive this one at the bar. Pink beer? Purple head? This is surely a chic beer. The aroma is nice and predictable, wheat and berries. Tastes very berry sweet with some wheat breadiness behind it. Light bodied and refreshing.
