Commercial Description:
Chocolate truffles, cocoa, espresso coffee, burnt currants, the sweetness of a sherry - all come to mind when enjoying an Imperial Stout. A rich porter of English origin brewed to withstand the long voyage from London to Czarist Russia. The classic "Winter Warmer". Big, Strong, Malty Stout.

Bottle thanks to BarZigKin. Nose is smoke, bitter dark chocolate, and whipped cream. Taste is cognac, burnt cocoa powder, and brownie corners. I expect a whole lot more from an impy stout. Regular stout in my book.

( 22oz bottle thanks to BarZigKin) Pours near black with light film on top. Nose of cocoa, brownies, fudge. Taste of alcohol, dark chocolate, cola root, with a nice coffee-infused finish.

Tasted at Ølbaren in DK. Pours dark brown with tan head. Aroma is of coffee and. Flavour is overly sweet for me, with toasty malts, notes of raisin, coffee and port. Not a bad imperial stout.

22oz bomber from Springhill in Little Rock. Black pour with mahogany highlights. Small tan head. Clingy, sticky legs. Aroma of roast fresh, bitter coffee, big malt sweetness and semi-sweet chocolate. Flavor is strong coffee, roasty, stone fruits, baker’s chocolate, licorice and medium sweetness. Oily coating on the palate. Smooth, coffee bitter finish from a medium mouthfeel. ABV masked very well and an easy drinker.

Thanks to Barzigkin for sharing this bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a tan head. The aroma is coffee with roasted malt. The flavor is raisins, roasted malt, coffee and some bitterness from either the hops or coffee. Medium mouthfeel and low carbonation. A solid imperial stout.
