3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured into a tulip glass. Pitch black with a half finger of tan head.
Rich smelling. Roasted and burnt malt, chocolate and licorice.
Starts like a milk stout, a little sweet, then quickly turns to burnt, super burnt malt overpowering everything in sight, slight bittering at the end.
Smooth texture, a fair level of carbonation, kind of crisp.
The taste is really bold and in your face burnt malt. That may not be enjoyable to some, but I liked it. This is not a shy beer.

Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Odd dark malts, rich and with a trace of cream but also carrying a distinctly tea like tang. Light floralness and a touch of dark fruits. Finishes dry and spicy. Mmm. Okay.
