Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 23, 2007 Updated: Jul 25, 2007Bottled. A pitch black beer with a huge brown head - due to a high level of carbonation. The aroma is sweet with notes of chocolate, coffee, and hard roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with strong chocolaty notes giving it slightly acidic notes, the hops giving it a quite bitter end. Papsoe (11076), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 4, 2007 (Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of Storm. Pours a completely opaque black with a dense, light brown head. Very concentrated aroma with sweetish, roasted malt and dried fruits. Quite full-bodied with lots of roasted malt, raisins and other dried fruit. The finish is rather bitter. A very pleasant and accessible Impy. 290607 omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden May 27, 2004 Bottled, thanks hopsrus!
Very dark brown, rich head. Loads of chocoalte up front. Sweet. Molasses make up the majority of the flavours and the thick, syrupy mouthfeel. Notes of liucorice. Flavourful, but unbalanced. yespr (7843), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 4, 2007 From 75 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a little brown head. Aroma is dark malty with a slight note of roasted malt, chocolate. Chocolate and light liqourice flavoured. Sweet and light alcohol finish. Very tasty :) Oakes (7032), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Dec 12, 2006 Dark brown colour. Hoppy nose with rich coffee, light wood, and hints of chocolate. Big hop bitterness and light leafy hop flavour accents. Fat and tangy roastiness stings. Brash on the bitterness side, understated on the malt side, this is a more-or-less by-the-numbers impy, well-made but...
