UPDATED: JUL 25, 2007 Bottled. A pitch black beer with a huge brown head - due to a high level of carbonation. The aroma is sweet with notes of chocolate, coffee, and hard roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with strong chocolaty notes giving it slightly acidic notes, the hops giving it a quite bitter end.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of Storm. Pours a completely opaque black with a dense, light brown head. Very concentrated aroma with sweetish, roasted malt and dried fruits. Quite full-bodied with lots of roasted malt, raisins and other dried fruit. The finish is rather bitter. A very pleasant and accessible Impy. 290607

Bottled@SBWF2009. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, sour wet wood and mild old coffeeish notes. Flavour is much the same with also some toffee, plum and chocolate lurking. Finishes ashy and wooden.

Bottled, thanks hopsrus!
Very dark brown, rich head. Loads of chocoalte up front. Sweet. Molasses make up the majority of the flavours and the thick, syrupy mouthfeel. Notes of liucorice. Flavourful, but unbalanced.

Roasted malty chocolate and coffee flavor with some hints of licorice. Has a long warming roasted malty chocolate fintish with hints of licorice in the aftertaste.

Black color, small head. Nice aroma of roasted malts, light chemicals, very perfumy. Full bodied; the flavor is a mix of dark caramel, malt, light coffee; the sugars make it easier to drink. The final shows some more roasted malt, black chocolate, and some liquorice; salty; dark. Very good.
