3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
pours clear golden orange with a nice off-white head, some retention and lacing. spicy, citrusy with soft pine and resiny notes, chewy toasted and slightly biscuity malts, fruity malts too - spicy pineapple, shy caramel - dry. average carbonation, light to medium body, relatively short citrusy-spicy finish. more like an english pale ale with american hops if at all possible (!). quenching. enjoyed it!

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bomber from state line liquor. bottle says "live ale! keep refrigerated." unfortunately the fine folks at state line did not. still a very flavorable pale ale, I just wish I could try it fresh because i am sure it would have warranted a higher rating. as it is, a somewhat musky fully bodied brew with a nice hop forward brew. too bad the hops taste old.

Iíve never had anything from Moylanís that wasnít a double IPA or a stout, so this will be a nice change. It has a pretty clear, caramelized orange color for a pale ale, with your standard, everyday, cream-colored head. The nose is wonderful, though, with a slight, low/moderate-lovibond caramel grain sweetness paired up with some pepperminty green or hay-heavy hops - itís really great for a standard pale ale!
The flavor is wicked... WICKED! Thereís a really fantastic/weird/pungent herbal, plant-like hop flavor that tastes just like plant stems... honestly, it reminds me a little of cut flower stems or straight-up straw or hay. Looking for a very different pale ale? This oneís for you! Itís almost resinous, but fresh and leafy. Iíve never tasted straw/hay so strong before in a beer and itís actually very good. The finish is decorated with a little caramel to counter-balance the interesting plant-like flavor - otherwise, itís pretty thick-palated/bodied for a pale ale and a nice change from the humdrum.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Sample at Capones, pours a very murky brownish orange color with nice white lacing, and small head. Aromas of spicy wood, malt, mustard, oranges, and other hop notes. Taste is much of the same but very weak and one dimensional. Reminded me of a less flavorful/drinkable philly pale ale from yards. Too ashy, bitter, and light bodied for my palate.

Bomber to SS etched 1/2 pint Lager glass. Gold short head moderate to lower carb than average. Very clear.
Very fruity/citrusy nose.Fresh fruit like oranges/lemon... Some slight mineral.
Smooth and creamy at first but seems to go thin and flat. Some light carmel notes, hoppy dominate flavors, finishes with some mild/medium lemony rind/some pine also in bittering. Farily watery and flat in mouthfeel after the initial foamy creamy start. Hoppy but kindof bland. Grassy/grapefruit linger long lastingbittering Fits in more averageish but hoppier than average with good aroma.
