Our version of the classic Pale Ale style is named in tribute to County Tipperary, our founders Father’s Homeland. Sweetly sharp and smoothly bitter, this beer straddles the line between what you want and what you need. It’s not a long way to Tipperary anymore! Slainte.

Idiosynkrasie (4355) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - FEB 1, 2014
650ml bottle. Clear, orangey dark golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Caramel malty aroma, fruity hints of grapefruit, orange, a slightly resinous and piney hop touch. Taste is bitter hoppy, close to soapy, cautious caramel malty background. Taste is disappointing, especially if taking into account the excellent aromatic flavours.

Malty, English-style pale ale. Creamy texture that soften the barley crispiness of the malt. Pours clear amber with good head and lacing. Very light bitter finish. Tap at Bistro L’autre oeil.

On tap at L’Autre Oeil (Gatineau, Qc). Hazy amber body with an average, lasting, off-white creamy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with caramel and flowery hints. Taste is well balanced but it lacks complexity. It carries woody and herbal notes. Ends with a short bittersweet finish.

On tap @ Moylans. Clear orange pour with a white head. Nose is sweet orange, some pineapple, bread, and caramel. A bit floral and earthy as well. Fairly sweet and malty flavor. Lots of caramel and bread, maybe some toast. Decent fruit character with some orange and hints of tropical fruit. Lightly floral, some mild bitterness, and a hint of earth.

This light red beer has a mild aroma and silky head. It is very mild lightly carbonated and reminds me more of a wheat beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ Le Saint-Bock (Montréal). Clear golden/amber with a small to medium off-white head and heavy lacing. Aroma is really mild with nutty notes, light fruits, light malt and some earthy notes. Taste is also mild with nuts, earthy notes, light fruits, caramel and light bitterness. Light body. Moderate carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Really mild. Maybe the keg was a tad old? Drinkable. Ok Pale Ale.

On tap @ Frankie’s Pizza. Better than I remember. Tropical fruit sweetness early sets the scene well but the beer’s presence falls away somewhat. Tangy and slightly funky, the latter suggesting the keg might not be quite right. Redeemed late with some sweet minerals.
