jasonp (1423), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA Feb 4, 2008 Slightly hazy copper with a medium creme-colored head. The nose is subtle; light herbal/earthy hops with a slight touch of toastiness. Pretty straight-forward apa malt base with a light touch of caramel, then comes notes of grapefruit/citrus. Proper APA-level bitterness but not too bitter. Full, round creamy on palate with moderate to slightly lively carbonation. Solid drinkin’ beer.
Beerman6686 (567), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2008 Poured a cloudy orange color with an off white head. Aroma was very nice, california like hops and such. Flavor was a bit more malty then i would have expected or like, but still a pretty good beer. shp555 (1360), lilburn, Georgia, USA Jul 10, 2008 Pours a light copper color with a white head. Aroma is yeasty, toast, caramel, and some citrus hops. Flavor is toast, caramel, biscuit, and a bitter citrus finish. badnloose (85), Springfield, Virginia, USA Jul 8, 2008 Completely satisfying, wonderful in a 22oz - less would be a shame. Pours hazy light copper, nice light citrus notes. Nice and balanced. hotstuff (3019), Indiana, USA Jul 5, 2008 Bottle. Ivory, fizzy small head that mostly expired, one ring of lacing. hazy, not a lot of carbonation, and an orange hue. The aroma was malt, caramel, some pine, hoppy, citrus, bitter, and sweet. Ditto for the flavor. Tingly mouthfeel and medium bodied. Quaffable for the style with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Worthy of at try. redlem (1096), Illinois, USA Jun 27, 2008 Very drinkable was my first impression of this beer. It poured a hazy clover honey with a smallish off white head. Aroma of browning butter, pears, and slight rosemary. Taste of mildly sweet butterscotch with lime zest. This is so nicely balanced between the sweet and bitter with so much flavor that it is enjoyable and memorable to drink. Wow, another winner from Moylans.
