COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stillwater Hopschnapps Barrel - Nugget Wets from the Willamette Valley stuffed onto an already uber-hopped creation and matured in a barrel that had an IPA distillate residing in it for some time at the Stillwater Distillery.

Draft at taproom. Amber beer with an off-white head. Grapefruit, pine aroma with distilled alcohol. Distilled liquor flavor with hops and light malt. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and pine lingers with distilled liquor. Barrel aging takes away from the beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tried this on draft at the brewpub because Ive lived in the Willamette Valley my whole life and figured Id support the local hop economy in this time of crisis. Nice amber pour with a small white head and a very light graperfruit and alcohol smell. Small hint of marijuana in the aroma as well. Flavor is very much liquor and far too smooth and oily for what I expect from an IIPA. The barrel aging pretty much destroyed the wonderful flavor of regular Hopsickle in my opinion.
