2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
August 21, 2013 - hand-pull cask at The Wheatsheaf. Deep burnt copper pour, minimal head. Some diacetyl in aroma and taste, some paper and a surprising amount of sugary sweetness. Thick, still, sugary, quick finishing and harshly sweet in the aftertaste - possibly the worst beer I have had this trip to date.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
On gravity, at Barrow Hill Beer Festival - dark ruby body, thin white head. A musty nose, with notes of cereals, chocolate and dark fruits. A bit thin in the mouth, with more chocolate, a trace of sweet fruit and lightly bitter finish. Drinkable.

Ruby brown with creamy head. Slight malty aroma and taste but thin and uninspiring.
