CiderMonster1964 (11), Ireland Sep 2, 2004 Similar in some ways to Swamp Donkey, any relation.
Tried at Wetherspoons & Festivals.
A Light yellowy cider possibly a bit sweet but a fair amount of acid to balance it.
JonMoore (1551), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England Dec 7, 2006 Bottle. Hazy light golden colour, low visible carbonation. Apples and a bit of barnyard in the aroma. Juicy apples taste, quite sour and dry. A bit lacking in depth. Fin (2454), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Jul 11, 2006 Cask at Merton Beer Festival, Oxfordshire, July 7th and 8th 2006. Mmmhh just when I was becoming a cider convert having loved the two Dunkerton ciders on offer, along comes this number which really wasn’t my thing. Pale yellow in colour, and with a musty appley smell, whilst it tasted much lighter and with less of the appley kick than the Dunkerton pair I found this a little too dry for my liking and was suprised that it was down as medium dry, there was nothing particularly wrong with it and it sold very well it’s just not my thing. duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Apr 21, 2005 Barrel@The Magpie&Crown, Brentford, London. Quite nice, dry, juicy cider. Some cheese and farmy smells on the nose. Well balanced, juicy apple sourness. Nice. Mungo (2474), Southampton, Hampshire, England Feb 20, 2005 Gravity cask @ Hants Bowman, Dundridge. Oxidised apples and yeast. Medium sweetness with sour acidic chalky finish.
