guyinchicago (276), marengo, Illinois, USA Nov 19, 2008 On tap at brewery last of the beers i had that night cloudy orange with medium white head aromas of spices, fruit and yeast taste was cloves, bananas and citrus with a sweetness in the beginning turn alittle bitter at end Narnad (168), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Sep 21, 2008 Beer came from the tap to the table with no head, golden/orange color and a light/medium cloudy appearance. Aroma is very faint of clove and bananas definitely not like other beers of this style. Flavor reflects the aroma with a slight clove taste leading the way and ending with a very light banana flavor. Overall an ok offering but wish for a more carbonation, more cloudiness and a little more of the characteristic Hefe banana/clove combo flavor. thedm (3407), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jun 26, 2008 This draft brew from the brewery poured a foamy medium sized head of fine to medium sized white colored mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a transparent uncarbonated orange colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was of banana and malt. The mouth feel was nice and semi thick with a mild tingly. The sweet flavor was of banana and malt. JMerritt (1120), Macomb, Illinois, USA May 31, 2008 On tap, simply labeled as "Hefeweizen." Clear (with a capital C) golden with a medium-white head that is mostly diminishing. Really light honey aroma. Straw flavor, period. I kept asking myself where all the cloves and banana were. What a non-descript, bland hefe. gws57 (1003), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Jan 3, 2008 Had this one on draught at the brewpub in West Dundee, Illinois. Cloudy, light orange pour with a thick, foamy white head, orange and grapefruit in the nose, very clovey and spicey throughout, citrusy and sweet but tapers into a sour finish that was unappealing. A decent training wheels hefe.
