Smooth with chocolate taste and fruity after taste (very much Belgium style). Only issue is the lack of head and bubbles. Excellent beer! The best I have had in Canada!

Pours a nice med-dark copper brown with a smallish head, thin foamy retention, some slow streams. Sweet med-dark caramel malts on the nose - sweet and inviting. Attack: burst of 8/10-sweetness, creamy/foamy nice silky mouthfeel Mid-palate: sweet malts, caramel, brown sugar, mild woodiness, light bourbon/wood, light banana/vanilla Finish: mild candied-sweetness, light-med malty bitter, clean & crisp I like it. Alcohol takes a backseat or even the trunk as the malt/caramel/bourbon ride shotgun. Great balance and drinkability.

Pours brown (with maybe a tad of red) and a nice tan head. Smells of spice and yeast. Tastes of banana, clove, chocolate, and bread. Better than I was expecting...I am admittedly not a big German wheat drinker.

A beer I’ve much respect for. It’s candy for adult tastes, I suppose. The plum is strong in this one, in both taste and aroma. I also get that clove/banana taste I always do from the German wheats but it’s in the background here. It claims to be a dunkelweizen but the ABV makes it a weizenbock, I’m guessing.

Muddy blackwater brown, quickly fading off white head. Strong yeasty weizen, sweet malt aroma and taste, with some caramel, chocolate and clove. Silky mouthfeel. Finishes clean and quick, with some spice and alcohol. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)

Bob pours out a murky, mostly opaque brown with notes of amber on the bottom. A head of yellowish beige and some beautiful lacing rings. The nose is big and heavy with a prominence of alcohol and a spicy wheat. A nice roasty note with hints of toffee, cocoa and dark fruits. The middle is sweet with a big toasty malt. A prominent chewy wheat with a big spiced note of clove, coriander and nutmeg. On the finish, I get a lingering alcohol warmth with nice spice aftertaste. A subtle note of banana bread with a sweet bubblegum. Overall, a chewy, thick and robust Dunkelweizen worth buying again.

650ml brown bottle. Dark brown pour with red-orange highlights, unclear. Fat beige head reduces itself to a lasting thin layer of foam that never dies. Spotty lace. Nose has banana and clovey esters and some chocolate malt. Taste is chocolatey malt, wheaty byproducts of clove and some banana, light minerals, light hops. Dry end, late roasty and chocolate malt character. Soft body, nice carbonation. Alcohol stays in the background, drinks like a smaller beer. Pretty approachable Dunkelweizen.
