3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear dark amber pour with a small off white head which leaves some sheeting. Nose is lots of pine and citrus hops with a small toffee background. Very light caramel start followed by an impressive bitter wallop of hops. Long dry finish after a slightly watery mouth and average carbonation. Nasty in a good hoppy way.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A hazed murky amber ipa with a thin off white head. In aroma, maderized biscuit malt with smooth floral hops, resinous character, doughy notes, nice. In mouth, a crisp biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, à bit tired but still solid. Bottle from LCBO, about 3 years old.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear copper with one finger of white head diminishing rapidly to a thin skim, light lacing. Nose is piney hops, with a little malt backing. Taste delivers exactly what the nose promises. Mouth feel is medium-bodied, with a lingering bitter hop finish. It might be a nasty habit, but it’s my kind of nasty habit.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma slightly malty and hoppy. Pours a rich copper color with a quick fading head. Taste is a bit funky. Not a great IPA but not the worst I have had either.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Great beer! Hoppy aroma with fruity after taste. For those who have tasted a "Matilda Bay -Fat Yak" it is similar but sweeter but unfortunately low on head and gas. Still, Mt Begbie can do no wrong with their "strong beers".

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
pours a nice clear copper orange with a small head and thin retention, almost no activity. Strong citrus malts and sour hops on the nose.
Attack: 5/10-sweetness, light creamy
Mid-palate: very sharp bitter, dryness, bitter hops, orange peel, grapefruit with pith
Finish: lingering hoppy bitter, slightly watery carry.
Quite sharp bitter grapefruity hops on this one. Not the most gentle of IPAs, beware.
