A generously hopped IPA, balanced by a diabolical blend of rich specialty malts and pure mountain water. A wicked ale that leaves you lusting for more!

22oz bottle from the LCBO. Pours a nice orange amber colour with a white foamy head. Aromas of citrus and pine hops, flavours follow aroma.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a clear orange-brown with a bunch of white fluffy head that dissipates quickly and leaves a good amount of lacing. Smell is a good blend of citrus and pine hops, very nice but could stand to be more intense. Palate is on the lighter side of medium bodied with not much carbonation. Taste is a bit sweet at first but then quickly getting into hoppy bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter at first but then strangely gets a bit sweet. Not bad overall.

This Canadian IPA from the LCBO pours a deep amber colour with a nice off-white head that remains pretty good and creates a bit of lace. Fresh Cascade hop nose with the grapefruit notes being nicely balanced with a little sweetness from the caramel malts. After breathing a while, the aromas tend to stick out as oranges (so maybe Amarillo are also in there). Wet mouthfeel, making this one easier to consume than dry ones (IPA). Surprisingly not as bitter as expected. The grain really comes through, blending well with citrus. This is pretty much the best middle of the road IPA that I have had. Good drinkability and beautiful hop, without being a hop bomb.

Bomber from LCBO. Pours clear dark amber with a thin head. Aroma of orange, peach, cherry, and slight caramel. Taste is reasonably balanced, reasonably tasty, but nothing extraordinary. Moderately bitter finish. Thin-bodied.

Very happily surprised. Fresh hoppy aroma was appealing right from the pour. Taste is smooth with mild bitter.

Aroma: wow , quiet American in approach, pine , spruce with slight citrus and caramel malts. Impressed.8- Look:clear amber with light off white cap.
Taste / palate etc.: medium full bodied. Reminds me of older Stone beers. Simple but well done malty sweet caramel hinted base on good citrusy piney feel. Carbonation medium , fairly soft. Bitter sides. This is very drinkable.

A solid IPA, generously hoppy. Dark amber in color with a cream colored head, heavy lacing on my glass. Tastes of citrus and hops, a very very solid beer but definitely not as good as some.

Pours a deep amber with a super thick, foamy white head that recedes rapidly, leaving thick lacing. Aroma is actually quite light, with biscuity and earthy notes and malt sweetness; little hops present. Medium carbonation carries the brew nicely. Taste is of astringent bitterness, some citrus and mild sweetness without much in the way of floral hoppiness. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Good, but not great.

Narnad (1518) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - OCT 4, 2012
Pours a clean copper color with tall, cream colored head that has good staying power. Aroma has an aggressive hoppiness and appears to be dry hopped a ton. Strong grapefruit notes come in first, mild orange, some light grassy notes, very light toasted malt but the hops come through very nicely. Flavor of the brew has a definitive grapefruit and orange coupling with light grassy middle and a solid toasted and caramel malt sweetness at the finish. The malt is very well balanced with the hop and adds a great deal of depth to the flavor at the very end. Body is modest but has a slight crispness to it. Slightly acidic as well which aids in the overall citric acid fruitiness present in the brew. Overall a very well done beer. The flavors and aromas are balanced which allows each of the flavors to stand out but compliment each other at the same time.
