| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 11, 2009 Appearance: Pours a lightly hazed, suitably amber-hued body topped by a slender covering of white suds.
Smell: Pale malts with light touches of toasted grain and caramel. Small hint of orchard fruitiness. Hops impart some earthy, citrusy notes as well as perhaps a hint of spice.
Taste: Lightly sweet, toasty pale malts with a rounded caramel character. Slight fruity tones. Earthy, lightly citrusy hops with a medium-low amount of bitterness to balance. Drying, bittersweet finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A pretty decent, nicely done amber ale from Mt. Carmel and one I could readily see myself keeping a six’er of in the refrigerator if the brewery wasn’t about 500 miles away. kp (8399), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

12oz bottle. Amber color. Aroma of honey and hops. Distant caramel malts, light toast. Flavor has a crisp malt character. Hops add a nice complex bitterness to the beer. Well balanced. Finishes with a Munich malt mustiness. Light bodied. Well done. (this beer is similar to Great Lakes Eliot Ness) shp555 (1682), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
