Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate earthy malt and floral hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium earthy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer.

12oz bottle. Awesome amber-orange color with lots of fine, floating particles suspended within. Minimal off-white ehad, with plenty of spotty lace. Great, tropical citrus hoppy nose, with some spice. Great tasty malt body to back it up and give it a savory balance, but with some light sweet taste, too. Nice medium body, good texture, easy to drink, mildly refreshing, appropriate soft carbonation. Another great ESB... This style is definitely growing on me

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2014 12 oz. bottle from a six pack purchased at The Party Source for my rehearsal dinner. Pours a clear autumn orange with a small off-white head, creamy, that lingers all the way down. A nice English-style ale, but hoppy, with notes of fresh, grassy, citrusy hops and toasty malts. Light brown sugar and caramel sweetness. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation. Clean, malty, and fresh, with a bit of lingering bitterness.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized creamy off white head. The aroma favored light citrus, earthy, and grassy hops with a hint of caramel sweetness. The flavor had some initial caramel sweetness before becoming more biscuity. Hops were earthy and grassy and created an overall dry bitterness toward the finish. Very slight hints of citrus come through.

Bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good; a somewhat cloudy amberish brown with foamy beige head somewhere between off-white and light beige that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells sweet with notes of dark fruit and floral hops. Tastes like it smells with a bit more maltiness. Solid on the palate. Good beer.

Slightly orange tinted brown with a whipped, yellow-tan head. Toasty aroma...light fruit, floral hops. Taste is spicy, floras, caramel, malty. Almost an IPA... Very tasty.

12oz bottle. This is really what I like to see in a seasonal beer; someone breaking the mold but still remaining sensible and true to the spirit. Bigger and bolder than the bottle would suggest. Big, rich, malt tones with a pleasant, earthy, fruity, hop balance. Big, full bodied beer for the style, with a nice

So, practically everything Iíve had from this brewer has been over the top on style. Let me try this. And, this is no different; it is ipa like right from the start. Strong initial impact. However, I must comment that I did not even think it was 8%, more like a sixer to me. A little sweet and cloying but not to the extreme. Aroma of mild body odor. Could have a few more manners, but what the heck, Iím catching a little buzz near the end of this bottle. Yes, ipa like in many respects. BTW, is it possible for a bitter to approach 8%? Must be in the wrong style.
