Pours a straight black body with a lasting tan head. Big roasted coffee flavor. Dry finish. Pretty solid stout.

Good and roasty, mostly but not completely dry - a little raisiny sweetness but not much. A good hit of coffee. Pours and stays a little still. Coffee acidity shows up in the flavor, ash, not well integrated - separate. Piney hops, for example, are in the taste too. Could mellow.

Bottle. The aroma on this big stout is killer ... More coffee than my morning Joe. this drinks with a whoop-ass java overtone, sweetly drinkable. I think I’ve found my favorite Ohio beer. (#3572, 7/3/2009)

12 oz. bottle. Dark brown pour, tan head. Coffee and chocolate in aroma and flavor. Better stout than expected from what is now shaping up to be my favorite Cincinnati brewery.

Bottle courtesy of alexsdad06. Pours dark brown with a thin white head. Smells of chocolate, roasted malt, peppery. Tastes of chocolate, sweet malt, molasses. Spicy finish. Nice!

12oz recent bonus, I think from Alexsdad06. Pours black with a nice puffy light brown head. Nose is rich and somewhat chocolatly and slightly off. Taste is sweet and some what chocolaty. Something seems off to me, but on some level this is pretty good.
