3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 burg326 (2326) - Florida, USA - MAY 10, 2013
12 ounce bottle poured a dark brown color with aromas of roast, light chocolate, some earth and some light dark fruit. Flavors are roast, earth and some chocolate. A great beer overall with some nice mouthfeel.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 rangerred (660) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - APR 25, 2013
12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours pitch black with a half finger dark tan head. Decent head retention but not much at all in the way of lacing.
Aroma of heavily roasted malt along with some espresso and dark chocolate. Pretty typical for the style and nothing exceptional really stands out.
Lots of roast character in the flavor with a touch of ashy smokiness that blends nicely with the roast. Chocolate is a little less noticeable along with the coffee. Roast and smoke are the predominant flavors. Mouthfeel is slick and a little thin finishing with a touch of stickyness.
Overall, a completely average run of the mill American stout. There are no flaws but there is nothing that really stands out either.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 brewsandfutbal (12) - Ohio, USA - JAN 31, 2013
Nice flavors of coffee and chocolate. Very well balanced stout that had smooth carbonation. Overall a good stout that I would definitely drink again.

Bottle from Ty. Dark coffee nose and thick pour. Oak hints upfront and coffee to follow. Almost burnt malt and grain aftertaste though.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ContemplateBeer (1140) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - NOV 6, 2012
Aroma is coffee dominant with some light bitter chocolate, hops are very light at best and appear to be resiny, but that is to be expected. Appearance is black with thin, sustained mocha head. Flavor matches the nose; the finish continues with substantial coffee roast. Palate is oily/slightly chewy and the body is light/medium. A very drinkable stout, but not outstanding in any one area.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Chudwick (1082) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - OCT 11, 2012
12oz bottle - pours black with a finger of tan head and thin lacing. Nose is roast coffee from two feet away. flavor adds nothing. Light sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body with stickiness. Very easy to drink. Dictionary definition of stout and nothing more.

Pours black with a dark brown head.
Scent is sweet, light baked chocolate.
Taste is dark chocolate, a little roast coffee.
Malty, not bitter at all.
Very mild, but also quite tasty.
A great, simple little stout.
A good anytime beer....nice.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 b3shine (2234) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 7, 2012
Bottle to pint. Looks good; pitch black with low carbonation and thin lacing. Smells solid; malty and roasty. Tastes pretty good too; much like it smells with coffee notes. Mouthfeel is average. A solid local stout!
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Gription79 (1578) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - JUN 15, 2012
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The aroma is of sweet chocolate and caramel. The flavor was similar but the firm roasted character made it a coffee like. A tasty stout.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 KickInChalice (842) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 29, 2012
From notes. First reviewed 12/25/2010. Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
This one is a gusher. Even with a gentle pour, a huge brown bubbly head furies on top of the beer. Somehow, there is almost no retention, though. After just a few seconds there is nothing on top of the glass. Midnight black in color with a tint of ruby where some light can sneak through.
Coffee, roasted chocolate malt, and cocoa powder provide for a relatively basic aroma.
A quick dash of roasted malt, but cocoa and roast coffee flavors really dominate the taste. A touch of grapefruit rind and some herbal notes complement the bitter coffee flavor.
Lightly sticky, medium body, full bubbly carbonation.
This really didn’t do it for me. I was happy to have tried it, but there were just too many disjointed parts to this beer.
