Pours an opaque black color with a light brown head. Aroma is very roasty and hints of chocolate. Flavor is very roasty, some chocolate, and a roasty bitter finish. Good stout a little thin but a nice light flavorful stout.

Growler courtesy of cewldre: Pours an opaque black with a thin, frothy, thin-lacing dark tan head. Aroma of sweet dark earthy caramel and roasted malt. Body starts fairly full and dark chocolatey sweet with some mild dark fruity complexity and lightly roasted malt toward the finish. A smooth and enjoyable sweet stout.

Very big tyhank you to Cewldre, and mystery 2.0. This stout poured dark brown with very small head. Nose had chcolate, cooffee and caramel, and bit of smoke. Medium body with hints of all nose sencts. There was some nice warming as I finished this growler! Thanks, good stout.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 garrison (717) - Cin. city, Ohio, USA - MAR 21, 2007
From a sixty-four ounce "growler" purchased at "Keller’s IGA" in Cincinnati, Ohio - This brew poured a very black liquid with afine tan head and coffee aroma. Tastewise, it isn’t a rich stout, because it’s somewhat lacking in body, but it has an interesting "harsh"finish.

Thanks to cewldre for a growler of this as part of Mystery Swap 2.0. Pours deep brownish black with a miniscule tan head that disappears rapidly. Aroma of heavy roasty dark malt, some chocoff, molasses, and a bit of hazelnut. Medium to light palate heft, with flavors of roasty malt, subdued cacao, molasses, and hazelnut. Fairly complex if a bit thin, I’m looking forward to finishing this growler tonight with a Rocky Patel Fusion cigar.
2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 clingman71 (297) - Centerville, Ohio, USA - JAN 21, 2007
Growler. This beer is kind of a let down. I am probably being a little harsh, but with all of the big stouts on the market, this seems ... well...small. It pours dark brown, not quite black, with a tan head. It has a good roasted coffee aroma. But, while the flavor is pretty good, there isn’t enogh of it. The beer seems a little thin for a stout, just too weak.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 RCL (2029) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 1, 2007
Dark, roasty aromas and flavors. Subtly sweet and well balanced with some nuttiness on the finish. Nice beer.

Smells with a bit of chocolate and coffee. Pours with little to no head. Tastes a bit dry and doesn’t contain a lot of flavor, but goes down easy with no aftertaste. A great beer for those who are just starting to drink stouts or wanting to drink the loca flavor of cincinnati
