3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
From notes. First reviewed 12/25/2010. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.
This pours a slightly hazy golden color with a 2 cm bubbly white head. The head fades to an archipelago on the top of the beer.
From the smell it seems to have been hopped pretty nicely, citrus and a lightly herbal aroma. There is a light medicinal note in addition to the wheat as well.
The flavor starts out lightly sweet, with the wheat coming through nicely. Smooth citrus really dominate, and the finish cleans up nicely.
Bubbly carbonation pops off the tongue. Light body, clean and crisp, heavy carbonation. There is a light puckering sensation from the bitterness.
I thought this was pleasant and drinkable. Being local to Ohio, I most likely will not get a chance to drink it often, but I would be happy to see it show up at a BBQ.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a nice golden color with a small white head. The aroma has wheat, pale malts, light lemony citrus and light floral notes. Actually, not much of a nose at all. The flavor is wheat, bready malts, light lemony citrus, with a fair amount of bitterness for the style. Overall, not something I would revisit again ever.

Gold yellow pour with white head. Aroma of wheaty malt and perfumy hops. Flavor mirrors flavor but with a decent bitter finish. A bit thin and fizzy but not bad.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold body with a small fizzy white head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is fairly light, a little light wheat, some bready malt, and a touch of soggy grain. The flavor is much the same, bland wheat and pale malt with a minimal floral hoppiness on the finish. Light bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Not what I’d call a winner, but I can make it thru a bottle.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Purchased at Hyde Park Wine & Spirits in Cincinnati, OH; enjoyed after my first day back at work at my new (old) job. Appearance a bright but cloudy gold with a frothy white head that sticks to the glass. Aroma of lemon citrus, wheat malts, hay, nice and apparent. Taste of hay, wheat, citrus/floral hops, a bit of spices, light to medium body, medium (i’d say 60%) carbonation, bready malts and bitterness pick up as it warms. All in all this is pretty good stuff, much better than the 312 we get here in Chicago! (or should I say 212 as 312’s now brewed in NY).
