3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Local Belmont bottle. This was pretty nice overall. Maybe a little heavy and darker than expected. The ginger really added some spice to it as well. Fine.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Gifted. Malt and light hop presence. A little bitter, pretty sweet. Spice and cinnamon/sugar. Pine, ginger definitely. Not bad. Good winter ale, could be a session beer, but the sweetness is too much for me

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle from Belmont Party Supply, Dayton, OH. Poured a nice amber/red color. Nice flavor for a seasonal beer. I probably should have had it a bit colder then what I did. Good herb flavors. Nice winter beer. Mt. Carmel has a few good offerings out there.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dark brown with a filmy, off-white head. Aroma has a lot of brown malt to it, ginger and a nose similar to oranges with clove pushed into them for the holiday season. Flavor has a very strong ginger kick to it to start. Malt comes in light as a whole with a mild orange and spicy kick late. Body is a bit light but it’s heavy enough to hold the flavors. Overall the spices aren’t overpowering but the ginger is pretty strong and is the most prevalent flavor in the brew. It doesn’t combine very well with other spices present, creating a slightly off putting flavor.
