Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 15, 2008 Draft at Hood RIver Hops Fest 2007. An unclear brown beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet matly with light notes fo butter, leading to a dry bitter finish. Oakes (7032), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 1, 2006 Bright dark copper colour. Caramel and earth-accented aroma with woody hop notes. Herbal, fruity hop accent with light balancing earthy, chewy malts. Quite a well-made example while staying true to the mellowness of the style. argo0 (6289), Washington DC, USA Jul 26, 2005 Crystal clear copper body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, caramel. Not especially bitter. Light-medium body. BückDich (4605), Boise, Idaho, USA Mar 9, 2005 Sampled draught at Mt Hood Brewing, Government Camp
Amber color, tan head, nice lacing. Nose of grassy hops & gingerbread malts. Nicely caramelly with a balanced finish. Eh. acrdz (4492), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jul 21, 2005 Brown ale light appearance: brown and rusty colors, a little darker than the beer in the picture to the left. Another berer with a tinny copper nose. The texture on this one is very good: coarse and wet with some good tasty resiny dark hops, sweet appl,es and overall some good malt sweetness. Not bad for a typical amber ale.
