A black I.P.A brewed with dark and roasted malts

Hop on the train and enjoy the rich malty flavor. The ride begins with a rich dark color and ends with a hoppy finish. We are sure you will return for another ride.

Complex nose with toasted barley and piney and citrus hints. Poured from 12 bottle with black color and a nonexistent head. Great mix of flavors on your tongue with toasted barley and a piney and citrus hop notes. They put plenty of hops in this one, nice job. One of my go to’s for a black IPA, a very nice beer.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle - six pack from Salut in Kalamazoo. Very dark, clear beer. Glowers deep red when held up to a light. Nice aroma of pine, chocolate, a little citrus. Taste is lightly sweet bready malts,at the start. Very hops-forward with grassy / floral hops, hoppy bitter in the finish complimented by bitter chocolate overtones that emerge late in swallow. A little earthiness throughout. Palate is moderate. Well crafted and very easy drinking.

Very good beer, only drawback is the appearance, cloudy and muddy. Otherwise, excellent beer. Nice hop and malt taste. Well balanced.

Bottle. Very dark brown, small tan head that settles quickly. Aroma is pine needles duested with chocolate. Taste is bitter chocolate, pine, grass, and a touch of lemon. Interesting hop profile.

On tap at the Kalamazoo Beer Exchange. This was a good example of the style for sure. Nice clean malt bill with maybe a hint of chocolate to it, but no roastiness or anything. Nice pine and grapefruit aromatics. Black as night. An easy drinker, but plenty of bitterness from start to finish. Enjoyable.

I should enter another beer, as this is bourbon barrel aged. Hoppy and boozy with enough flavor to flat out kill it with flavor. Pretty good brew from an unknown brewery. Awesomeness!

Bottle. Pours semi clear brown with reddish hues medium sized off white head, spicy hop nose, lots of citrus and grass. Medium bodied for an ipa, light on the bittering hops. Smooth good beer.

Draft. Poured clear dark brown with a large frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt, earthy hop with a small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a dry slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy dark bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a good complex beer.

Black oily pour from bottle. No head at all. Good biscuit and earth aroma. Mild hops and malts. Really smooth and enjoyable. Great black ipa

Sample at Suds on the Shore festival. Dark brown pour with cocoa, roasted coffee and a nice hoppy overlay. Well done.
