COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American pale ale with full hops flavor and aroma

Donít be shy, try it. Like any good I.P.A. this one has plenty of hop presence but not so much that it is not approachable by our hop-weary friends. Instead of biggering and biggering like so many I.P.A.s these days we are keepiní it real with a beer that will make you want to drink more than just one. Donít worry though, hops heads, this beer still has enough bite to cut through any spicy dish you might want to pair it with. Try one, or five, with buffalo wings or a spicy blackened chicken dish. Iron Horse can also go quite well with shrimp, crab, or other light fish, so we have heard from a few of our loyal patrons. So, belly up and try Iron Horse if you have ever wondered what a good I.P.A is like. We promise you wonít be disappointed.

Bottle at home. Purchased at GVL West Party Store in Allendale. Pours a yellowish orange with a thick off white head. Aroma is floral with some pine. Medium to lighter bodies. Nice beer.

Rated on 01-08-2012. This bottled IPA pours a very small creamy, smooth head that is fully lasting, gold transparent body, very fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, citrus, and orange pine hops. The flavor is grapefruit and orange pine hops and has a short dry finish. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is light-medium bodied. The hops are upfront as they should be for this beer style, but they are not in your face hops. This beer is easy drinking even for us non-hop heads.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. The pour is a clear copper color, maybe a touch lighter. With a two-finger slightly off white head and pretty nice lacing. The aroma is incredibly full of piney resin. There is a nice hoppiness and strong citrusy presence. Nothing too fantastic. The flavor is similar. There is a solid hoppiness coupled to a light bitterness before the resin flavor takes over. The mouth feel is decent, there is a medium creamy carbonation, and the aftertaste is bitter and dry, with a touch of resin. Not the best IPA out there. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle thanks to my neighbor. This beer is a nice hazy copper colored body with a thin but lasting creamy white head. Spotted lacing. The aroma and flavor are herbal, grassy, and fairly malty for an IPA. The palate is medium bodied and has a rather malty feel. A very drinkable beer, which is fortunate, as I have an entire six pack. A bit malty for an IPA, however.

Damn good IPA. Pours clear with the small white head. Smells of citrus hops attack the nostrils. Tastes like a top flight IPA. I donít understand the low ratings, must be the name. If this had a well-known name it would be one of the top Ipaís. Palate is medium-bodied, totally carbonated. Like I said this is a great IPA, if you get your hands on it, must try, be fair.

Bottle. Piney orange hops and caramel malt aroma. Hazy orange amber with a large ivory head. Resinous piney hops and weedy dandelion flavor. Medium body and carbonation. Could use some malt balance.

Thanks jsquire. Pours a soft copper amber with one finger of sandy tan head. Herbal notes in the nose with a soft leafy quality and a bready character. Diacetyl comes through with notes of caramel malt. A slight toasted bread character and sweetness shows through as well. Medium in body with a sharp finish.

Bills itself as a balanced ipa and that is what it is. Not going to win awards but it is drinkable. Contrary to the description I am content with one. Berry sweet aroma, slight grassiness, mellow flavor, medium to low bitterness.
