Thanks jsquire. Pours a soft copper amber with one finger of sandy tan head. Herbal notes in the nose with a soft leafy quality and a bready character. Diacetyl comes through with notes of caramel malt. A slight toasted bread character and sweetness shows through as well. Medium in body with a sharp finish.

Sampled at Schlafly’s 2010 Repeal of Prohibition Festival - Pours hazy amber with a small white head. The aroma has semi-sweet malt and floral and orange citrusy hops. Medium body that’s a bit slick with micro sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with funky hops, green onions, spice, pine and is well balanced with toasty malt. The finish has lots of funky hops hanging around. Nicely done.

Murky amber with a thin fading off-white head leaving no lacing. Aroma of caramel, grapefruit and mild floral hops. Taste is pretty muted with caramel, mild citrus and some artificial sweetness that just doesn’t belong here. Faint bitterness along with the artificial sweetness on the finish.

draft at the tap room - Pours lightly hazy orange and has a citrus rich aroma featuring orange and grapefruit. It tastes moderately to strongly bitter with ample grapefruit flavor. The palate is bubbly and it’s medium bodied. There’s the expected bitter finish and it’s a bit more crisp than the hops in some of their other beers. That’s a good thing. Pretty good brew.

12oz bottle from Siciliano’s Market in Grand Rapids, MI. Pours a murky, orange-copper colored body with a finger-width, frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is sweeter orange hops and caramels. Florals with some other citruses and a few pines. Flavor is similar. Lots of bitter grapefruits and orange peels up front with some sweetness to the mix of floral and piney hops. Caramels come in to balance with a moderate sweetness as well as some earthiness. Finishes dry with a bit of a pepper kick and a nice mix of pines, florals, and earth with a light caramel sweetness to balance. Moderately bitter with a few spicy, citrusy resins before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Medium, smooth body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid IPA. Pleasant hopping, lots of grapefruits, and solid malt balance with a bit of a peppery flavor at the end. Very easy drinking and enjoyable.

Orange amber color with a frothy off white head. Light, spritzy citrus hop nose. This drinks pretty thin, with water being noticable in the taste profile. Pleasant grapefruit and orange peel notes with a fruity sweetness. Sweet, citrus finish. Simple IPA.

Tasted 4/17/10. Schlafly’s Repeal of Prohibition Festival. Medium bodied with a dry body. Good base malts followed by a dose of piney hops. Sticky lingering finish. Good balance between the malts and hops while still retaining a bitter flavor. Decent stuff.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear orange with a thin head and aromas of apple juice. I’d love to report more than apple juice, but that’s what I got. Sorry. Flavor is apple juice that has been spiced with disappointment. A little bit of a grassy/herbal edge is about it. Finish is bitter and herbal.
