COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American pale ale with full hops flavor and aroma

Don’t be shy, try it. Like any good I.P.A. this one has plenty of hop presence but not so much that it is not approachable by our hop-weary friends. Instead of biggering and biggering like so many I.P.A.s these days we are keepin’ it real with a beer that will make you want to drink more than just one. Don’t worry though, hops heads, this beer still has enough bite to cut through any spicy dish you might want to pair it with. Try one, or five, with buffalo wings or a spicy blackened chicken dish. Iron Horse can also go quite well with shrimp, crab, or other light fish, so we have heard from a few of our loyal patrons. So, belly up and try Iron Horse if you have ever wondered what a good I.P.A is like. We promise you won’t be disappointed.

A thick and hoppy ipa. Pine nose. Resinous bitterness in the finish. Somewhat on the sweet size. This is a nic, big beer but unexceptional.

12oz bottle from Holiday Market in Royal Oak. Pours golden orange with massive white head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruits with some hops. Flavor is bitter hops, sweet malts, with some spicy notes and a bit of earthiness. There is some pine in the finish. Decent mouthfeel and carbonation. Funky flavor combanation. Not a good IPA but not a bad beer overall.

Bottle. Piney orange hops and caramel malt aroma. Hazy orange amber with a large ivory head. Resinous piney hops and weedy dandelion flavor. Medium body and carbonation. Could use some malt balance.

cbfobes (1675) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 4, 2012
Poured from bottle, pours a clear copper with a thin white head, the aroma and flavor has a nice hop bitterness with a balance of the malt, pretty light and easy drinking. Enjoyable but nothing that will blow your socks off.

6oz sample at MTS - Aroma is flowery citrus hops and caramel malt. Pours cloudy light brown with a ring head and decent lacing. Flavor matches aroma with the hops really sticking out. Palate is tart and crisp. A nice tasty IPA. Reading the other ratings makes me wonder if I got a fresh keg or something.

Bottle under the Mt. Pleasant label, from Party World? outside of GR. Clear amber with medium white head with lacing. Nice citrus aroma with orange and caramel. Medium caramel sweetness with some banana, pine bitterness, and a little resiny citrus. Medium body with active carbonation. Not the greatest IPA in the world, not really too sure what to think about it.

Heavy floral aroma with hint of citrus.Very foamy head that lingers. Amber color, clear. Mild bitterness. Average carbonation, medium body. Somewhat clean finish for IPA.

zizzybalubba (1155) - Elizabeth City, North Carolina, USA - NOV 29, 2010
12 oz. bottle from Siciliano’s in Grand Rapids, MI. Pours dark orange with a huge, foamy off-white head. Clean aroma of roses, tangerines, and light caramel malt. The taste is of bitter grapefruit and piney hops with a fairly balanced malt presence. Overall mouthfeel is a bit thin even for an IPA vs. a DIPA. A good overall IPA.
