3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Onslow (927) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - OCT 3, 2010
Pour form a 12 oz bottle. Medium amber, slightly cloudy, one finger of off white head. Aroma dominated by resinous hoppiness - nice. Taste follows the aroma - a tart hoppiness comes on with the start of the swallow and transforms into a very nicely balanced hoppy finish. There are a lot of fine modern IPA’s out there these days, and this one can claim a spot with the best.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 hayduke (2933) - Eureka, California, USA - DEC 27, 2011

6oz sample at MTS - Aroma is flowery citrus hops and caramel malt. Pours cloudy light brown with a ring head and decent lacing. Flavor matches aroma with the hops really sticking out. Palate is tart and crisp. A nice tasty IPA. Reading the other ratings makes me wonder if I got a fresh keg or something.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Strykzone (3814) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 29, 2011
12 oz. bottle bought on a trip to Michigan. The bottom of the bottle has big chunks of sediment that fog the pour. This is golden brown and a bit florescent. A tall light tan head slowly settles leaving sticky lacing. The nose is floral and citrus hops. Caramel is barely sniffed. The flavor is exactly the same. Bitterness is significant and even numbs the tongue. There is some caramel here and it adds much needed sweetness. This IPA comes right at you and is nice.

Sampled at Schlafly’s 2010 Repeal of Prohibition Festival - Pours hazy amber with a small white head. The aroma has semi-sweet malt and floral and orange citrusy hops. Medium body that’s a bit slick with micro sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with funky hops, green onions, spice, pine and is well balanced with toasty malt. The finish has lots of funky hops hanging around. Nicely done.
