COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American style wheat mixed with 100% fresh raspberry juice

Stand back. This is a beer brewed with raspberries, not a raspberry beer. The real raspberry juice we use adds something special to this wheat ale rather than taking something away. It can be, and is, enjoyed by all types of beer drinkers. It especially pairs well with fruit salads or just about any type of dessert. Or, consider it a dessert all on its own; who doesn’t enjoy beer for dessert? And, just because this beer has fruit, don’t think it is some powder-puff beer. Even the most rugged mountain man will enjoy this one.

MBGSF 2011. Poured hazy reddish amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate tart raspberry fruit aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium tart raspberry flavor with a medium sweet fruit finish of moderate duration. Refreshing soft fruit beer.

12oz bottle pours hazy copper with semi loose tan head. The aroma is tart hay notes, raspberry, berry like tartness and sweet berry juice. The taste is similar with some tartness moving into explosive levels of carbonation blasting off bits and pieces of berry essence everywhere including tart tannins, un-ripe bits and sweet juicy shrapnel.

Sampled at a The LoSBD meeting, thanks (?!?) to RAYBOY01: The "?!?" is due to my initial notes being "Horrible Crap!" It has a pinkish body without much of a head. It has a strong artificial fruit aroma like those godzaweful hard candies that my late father used to enjoy. (I didn’t.) The flavor is much the same, raspberry candy with a slight tartness.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a very large sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated transparent light orange colored body. The aroma was musty and fruity. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The strange flavor contained notes of raspberry. A horrible one that I would rather not drink again.

Bottle purchased at Siciliano’s Market in Grand Rapids, MI in December, 2011. Pours a small semi-fizzy white head that was mostly lasting. One ring of lacing, hazy body, fizzy, fast-rising carbonation, and an orange hue. The aroma is sweet, tart and raspberries. The flavor was sweet, tart, tangy, sour, acidic, artificial raspberries, and a dry finish. The mouthfeel is tingly and this is a light-medium bodied Fruit beer. Overall, it was over-the-top tart and acidic and came very, very close to being a drain pour.

Clear lifeless light amber with next to no head. Very mild aroma of raspberry and wheat. Taste of green peas, sweet malt and light wheat. Overly sweet, almost artificial with an astringent finish.

From a 12 oz bottle to a pint glass. Pours a cloudy copper hue that has a slight smell of raspberries. Head stayed awhile in the glass, nothing too special.

bottle from the brewery - Pours light hazy pink-orange with a small off white head. The aroma is clearly of raspberries. The flavor is sweet with prominent raspberries along with wheat and yeast evident. It’s light bodied and fairly refreshing, but there’s not much character to be had here. Okay.

12oz bottle 11/28/12- 44° in Flute-Pours a clear pinkish amer with a big white head. Aroma of raspberry and sweetness. Taste of the same with some slight tartness. This light bodied brew was not too bad but not sure if it was old or infected .

On tap at Crunchy’s, East Lansing. The amount of berries per batch is not necessarily correlated with quality, as this beer supports. An oddly sweet wheat beer with molded hay and fermented fruits and even a hint of wet socks thrown in for good measure. Not offensive, but cloying and flawed.
