3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
"44 on RB. Seems a bit harsh. They were really close, IMHO, to absolutely nailing this. For this pepper lover, the aroma was very enticing. Peppers galore, with some lagerish maltiness underneath. The flavor is very similar to that, but then the one issue pops up. No follow through. The finish is rather weak, and right when you expect the heat to hit the back of your throat...there isn’t any. Well, there’s a touch, but the lack of spice was the only real flaw. They had the flavor down, and the nose, but the mellow watery finish prevented this decent beer from being really good. I’d have again. I’m sure the heat varies."

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
I’m a sucker for pepper beers, so I had to buy this bomber at Beer Junction in West Seattle. It ain’t pretty, pours dirty, murky amber, no clarity. Not much head on it, as I said, not pretty. But the aroma is super peppery. Oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhh. A bit sweet and not very well attenuated, slick feeling, but who cares when you got lots and lots pf jalapeno. First its jalapeno and then its a lot of heat at the back of the throat. Hey, that is why one buys a beer like this.

Wow . . . HOT!!! I’ve had a number of pepper-type beers, but this one is truly the hottest. For what it wants to be, it succeeds splendidly. But, at the same time, it is HOT.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
22oz bottle found in Morro Bay over the summer when I was obsessed with jalapeno/pepper beer. Shared with myself and the drain the Saturday after New Years. Pours a crystal clear light yellow with fairly nice, big, white head. Aroma is jalapeno forward but not overpowering and slight straw. Taste is light vegetabley jalapeno with some celery salt and corn adjunct going on. The heat is minor when cold but as the beer warms it gets more assertive in the back of the throat. I think I’m getting over my jalapeno beer obsession. I just need some more day tripper with jalapenos.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at The Weed Alehouse / Mt Shasta Brewing, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out nothing but jalapeños. Flavour is the same, but without much intensity - just enough to coat the tongue in jalapeño goodness. Nothing sophisticated, but decent enough.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Big jalapeño aroma. Cloudy amber color. Sips medium and slight pepper burn. Very slow mellow spicy flavor which is very enjoyable. Had at Wob with Josh..long awaited and we’ll worth it.

Sampled at esbls. A cinnamon hue to the beer. A big pepper aroma. I would not guess jalapeno, tho. The peppers were not over powering but still dominated. Tasty for the style.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
02-Jul-13 (22-oz bottle: Sample bottle from the distributor)
This beer pours a clear, golden body with half an inch of head that settles to a patchy sheet and wide ring. The nose is all hot pepper, and really, nothing else of note. On the palate, the jalapeño dominates, though the clean, grainy malt isn’t totally buried. Some of these hot pepper beers are aggressively hot and spicy, burning the tongue and throat, but this one is only moderately spicy, so I can tolerate it. The weight is light and carbonation is medium. Overall, this is pretty much just jalapeño, which I’m not fond of, so this isn’t a beer that would ever appeal to me. It’s still one of the better ones I guess.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22. Pours a cloudy medium amber with a dense and creamy whitish head. Not much lace. Big sweet nose, definitely showing the jalaps and some caramel. Creamy medium body with bright wooly carb. Lots of sweet green pepper flesh jalap presence on the mid palate, definitely the overarching flavor by far, but the caramel maltiness is there to balance that. Long warm finish. Easy to drink. Not a bad pepper beer.
