Commercial Description:
Lemuria's finest, from our hollow mountain to your glass! This bohemian pilsner's recipe is so good, you might think it was encrypted in a Lemurian quartz crystal that showed up on our doorstep! With the continent of Telos on our side, we used German pilsner malt and a blend of noble hops infused with crystal to create a brew even 5th dimensional beings could enjoy. Light and almost fruity from the yeast characteristics, this brew is a perfect summer refresher and is also delicious whenever you are in need of some Lemurian company. 35.2 IBU

Bomber from Weed Alehouse. Golden color with a slight orange tinge. The white head diminished rapidly. Aromas of biscuit and floral/grassy hop. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is bready, a hint papery, floral/citrus bitter and lightly spicey at the finish. Citrus seems to become stronger with time. It’s really kind to the mouth. Not extremely dry. Much better than I’m describing. Try it, if you can.

Tap at CAH. Pours a translucent golden amber with a smaller bubbly/creamy off white head. Aroma of sweet bready malt, citrusy and floral hops, lightly spicy. Flavor of the same, kinda sweet.

Bottle. Golden amber beer with a thin off-white head. Light sweet malt aroma with light hops. Sweet malt flavor with light mineral and light grass tones. Medium bodied. Easy drinking. Sweet malt and light mineral notes linger.

Pours clear golden color, small white head. Dry grainy flavor, soft honey note. Earthy hops, soft caramel malts in the nose. I’m going to side with others on this, not crisp enough for a pilsner, although I thought the bitterness was dominant over the malts, although they did rate this years ago so the recipe probably has changed. The bittering stands without a nice floral hop flavor to back it up.

Really doughy and grassy, slightly mild mouthfeel with some sweet malts and some almost tartness in the finish. Not as clean and crisp as I would have expected from this style. Very easy to drink, just not my favorite.

(Draft: Mt. Shasta Brewing Co. in Weed, CA) Sugary sweet and lightly grainy, the mild hops could be kicked up a notch since they call this a pilsner. With the beer being so sweet, rather than malty, and lacking balance from hops, it’s not your classic pilsner. Even the nose is sweet. The body is light to medium, but the beer never reaches any degree of crispness, staying sweet throughout to the finish. Golden color, with a whitish head gradually subsiding to a ring, but not before leaving a fair amount of patchy lace on the glass. It’s very flavorful, but too sweet for my taste in pilsners.

Hazy yellow gold pour with a thin head. The aroma is rather bready with some sweetness and bitterness in the nose as well. Bready, biscuity, lightly sweet with a hint of bitterness in the finish. A little peppery and somewhat crisp. Soft carbonation and a little bitterness lingers.

Golden colored. Aroma is grass, bread, lightly floral. Medium bodied, very clean and very drinkable. I enjoyed this a lot more than their golden.
