A mild bitterness and a spicy aroma balance this perfect blend of caramel, coffee, and subtle roasted malt flavors. This brew emphasizes smooth, chocolatey goodness. A complex malt body gives this porter its robust character. Hops are present, yet almost untraceable on the foreground of the palate. Beneath a solid head of dark tan, our porter is black in color and highlighted with auburn hues. This brew tastes as deep as it looks and at 6% ABV, is stronger than most in its class. Big chocolate aroma. Huge coffee flavor. Palate is medium full. Moderate carbonation bite, which compliments the nice body throughout. This is an excellent porter, borderline stout with its body and roastiness.

Pours dark ruby red color with a small off-white head. Hops and malts on the nose, some cocoa, caramel and distant milky chocolate. Sweet cocoa flavor, dark malts and very faint vegetables, must be the coffee turned a bit old. Decent.

355 ml bottle. Pours a black colour with a small beige head. Aroma of roastiness, herbal notes and tobacco. Flavour of rich roastiness, grassy bitterness, tobacco, some herbal notes, some mild vegetable notes and coffee. Medium bodied. A bit thin and not at it’s best anymore as the coffee has turned into vegetables. But anyways Weed, CA is a place I’d like to visit.

On tap at The Weed Alehouse / Mt Shasta Brewing, pours a deep dark amber brown with a medium beige head. Nose is restrained, with notes of coffee and roast. Flavour brings out a pleasant mix of coffee and chocolate. Thin body, but nice flavours. Not a bad porter.

Bottle. Pous a dark black brownish pour with a small head. Nose is week chocolate with a hint of alocohol. Taste is much better than the nose, with roasty coffee chocolate notes. Desent flavor, light and drinkable. Finishes on the same chocolate roasted notes. Quaff Score 7 / 10
