Draft at the Weed Alehouse (at the brewery). Very dark brown color with a good tan head. Aromas of coffee, toasted malt and oatmeal? Flavor is just a tad sour/bitter,but that’s overwhelmed by smooth toasted malt. Some coffee in the finish, which is lightly bitter. The bitter seems a bit floral/herb. Good drinking stout.

Tap at Bailey’s Tap Room... Black with a brown head. Almost wine-like and salt, and roasted malt aroma. Light sizzle on the tongue and very foamy in the mouth. Leafy malt and a little bit of chocolate. Really dry finish. Very simple beer.

on tap at bailey’s tap room in portland. pours black with a big tan head that leaves tons of lacing throughout the life of the beer. smell is lots of molasses, light cooca, some black cherry. more molasses in the taste, but this time with a great roasted malt character and more cocoa. sweet finish, with light lingering bitterness. medium to full body, plenty o’ carbonation, and a smooth silky oily mouthfeel. a nice tasty stout.
