I am an avid belgian white ale drinker. I have tried a good amount of different belgian whites and this one is by far my favorite. The kicker to this beer is that it is 8.5% alcohol which is higher than most beers out there. This beer is comparable to Shocktop and Blue Moon, but I like Mudshark’s Fullmoon better. I am unsure why many people rated this low, possibly because they are not familiar with belgian white ales and the combination of wheat, orange peel, and coriander.

A pretty good cloudy yellow appearance. A nice and fairly orange aroma and a definite strong furit flavor. The wheat is also fairly prominent but the fruit characters are dominant. Pretty darn good for a can brew.

Not a bad brew, strikes me as a saison take on a wheat beer. Cloudy appearance as befitting the latter. Spicy notes on a solid wheat base in flavor, with some lingering pepperness. Not as peppery as a true saison however. My only complaint is that the mouthfeel is on the flat side, though that could be my particular bottle. Overall I don't understand why this beer is rated so poorly; I find it interesting and good! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy-bright yellow color. Aroma is light, citrus, slightly dull. Pretty good beer, but I can’t taste the coriander/spice as well as many others. I like this style of beer, but I’m afraid the high alcohol content can’t mask its imperfections - nice try, though. Good sweet-sour blend, anyway.

Yellow, no head. Not much aroma, really - I get some banana and spice. Flavor is fruity - banana and citrus, and faint spices. Not horrible.

Average or slightly better than average white beer. Bottle pours very fizzy with a head that disappears. Decent citrus aroma. Flavor is typical wheat, with citrus, hints of coriander; sweet. Creamy mouthfeel, which I liked. Similar to the more famous Blue Moon from Coors. I’m interested in Mudshark as an Arizona brewery; this and its IPA are ok.

Can 12fl.oz.

Unclear medium to light orange yellow colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, white head. Aroma is light malty, moderate yeasty, orange, passion fruit, spicy, coriander, alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, candy yeast, pineapple, fruity, passion fruit, alcohol, peppery. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20120915]

Tap at Tasting Arizona in Sedona. Pours amber with slightly sweet nose. Tastes of toffee, orange, coriander, white pepper, and wheat. Surprisingly strong with little boozing warmth on finish

Very murky pour, like a cider. Typical Belgian-wheat aroma and flavor -- spice and orange. It’s like a fizzy, spiced juice with notes of grain. Surprisingly strong, however. Actually enjoyable.
