Weak stout with a thin, watery palate. Not the usual crisp, acrid tatste of a stout. Nothing to write home about. Almost a chemical aftertatse. Head was a pale creamy color.

Feb 24, 2003 Black with hint of red. Clear with minimal tan head. Aroma is weak -- vanilla, some roasty, slight vinous. Taste is vanilla, some roasty, finishes vanilla. Flat.

Jan 12, 2003 This is a poor attempt at a stout. The color is a weak brown, almost as if a real stout had been cut in half with water. The flavor has some of the right notes. Coffee, chocolate, roasted. But none in any quantity. Very thin feeling beer as well. Time to go back to the drawing board for this beer I think.
